We have a poll for Stephen King books but not for movies based on Stephen King books. So what do you think are the top movies (not counting series such as the 11/22/63 series on Hulu) based on Stephen King books?
notes: I used the current poll on Rotten Tomatoes to help me generate the poll and I believe I just used actual movies in the poll.
You can vote up to 3 times in this poll.

I voted for The Green Mile, It (2017,) and Misery.
On the poll, Carrie (1076) was supposed to be Carrie (1976) to distinguish it from the remake but I accidentally typed the 0 instead of the 9 next to it and I don't know how to edit a poll once it is posted.

Hi
I loved Christopher Walken in The Dead Zone! He should've won an Oscar for that performance! ("The ice... is gonna break!) -- Saw the movie TWICE in theaters because I refused to see The Big Chill!
It (2017, first part) would've scared the crap out of me if I were still just a kid! One of the scariest movies I've ever seen!
And The Shining! Kubrick's masterpiece! I picked it up on blu-ray, along with Doctor Sleep once lockdown had lifted!
If you had included TV movies, I would've had Storm of the Century and the original Tim Curry's "IT" on my list, with Salem's Lot as my three fave TV movies.

I don't believe you can. The original Carrie is by far my favorite. Loved Stand By Me while growing up and Christine is a guilty pleasure.

The Shawshank Redemption remains one of my favorite movies of all-time and would easily be #1 on this poll for me.
Rounding out my top 10... 2. IT (2017) 3. IT (Part 2) 4. The Green Mile 5. Misery
There are a number of very good adaptations that are not in this list... Such as Apt Pupil, The Dark Half and Needful Things... I'm also a big fan of several miniseries adaptations... Including 11/22/63 (the absolute best imo), Storm of the Century and The Stand (the original - not the remake).
Also want to give an honorable mention to The Dark Tower - Because of the extremely high regard in which the subject matter is held, I think this movie was more negatively received than it deserved... I've watched it several times and find it entertaining... It's just that The Dark Tower series itself deserves to be presented on an epic scale... And this wasn't it.

The best is The Shining, because it's nothing like the book!
....(sorry, not a Stephen King fan. But that movie IS cool)
