The festivities kick off with our ring announcer Dr. Tom Miller welcoming the crowd to the Greensboro Coliseum and to an action-packed night of Championship Wrestling Carolinas. He lets us know that tonight we'll see six terrific matches, including the four quarterfinal matches in the Carolinas Heavyweight Title Tournament. Senior Official Tommy Young enters the ring as we get ready for our opening contest.

Referee Sonny Fargo immediately checks on The Patriot after the bell, not even bothering to raise Baker's hand. The Patriot struggling to move even a little and Fargo places a hand on his shoulder to keep him down while waving down the medics. The arena is hushed as The Patriot is stretchered out. While the medics proceed down the aisle, Baker walks up to Dr. Tom Miller and grabs the mic... "One down! Two to go! Hahahaha!"

CAROLINAS WRESTLING TV #1

We open with commentators Bob Caudle and David Crockett welcoming us to the debut edition of Carolinas Wrestling! Caudle recaps the house show in Greensboro from earlier in the week and promises an update on the condition of The Patriot. Crockett lets us know we'll see The Moondogs in action, Malia Hosaka one-on-one with "The Hammer" Beverly Shade, and a rematch from Greensboro with Tully Blanchard up against Sam Houston. But first, it's tag team action as the opening beats of "Badstreet U.S.A." by Crossfyre begin to play.


Opening Contest
The Freebirds (Brad Armstrong & Terry Gordy) defeat George South & Kenny Jay when Armstrong pins Jay with a high cross body in 7:16

The fans in the studio cheer wildly for the victorious Freebirds as they approach the podium where Bob Caudle waits. Armstrong tells us they've got The Moondogs this week at the Memorial Auditorium in Spartanburg SC and he hopes they were watching because he and Gordy will be watching them. Gordy steps up and says that Spot and Rex can bring every trick they want, but the 'Birds will teach them a new trick... play dead. The crowd cheers as The Freebirds make their exit and we go to break.


Women's Feature
Malia Hosaka pins "The Hammer" Beverly Shade with the Rising Sun Suplex in 21:53

At the podium, Caudle and Crockett recap the Ox Baker versus The Patriot match at the Greensboro Coliseum. Highlights of the match and the aftermath play for both the studio and home audiences. Afterwards, we see Caudle and Crockett at the desk start to tell update us when Baker interrupts and yells that The Patriot is the first in a line of broken bodies that will lead him to the Carolinas Heavyweight Title this week in Spartanburg.

The studio audiences' boos shift to cheers when Matchmaker Ole Anderson comes out, "Baker, we're gonna nip this right now. The Patriot's out for a month because of you and you seem to have meant to put him on the shelf. Now, I'm not gonna outlaw the Heart Punch, but let me catch you trying to injure another man, not beat him, but put him out of the sport, and I promise they'll be hell to pay, Baker." Anderson leaves, but Baker just smiles and looks at his fist with a look of satisfaction as we go to break.


Tag Team Contest
The Moondogs defeats Johnny Rodz & Mister X when Spot pins Rodz after a double team pounding in 1:15

J.J. Dillon leads Tully Blanchard to the announcer's podium where David Crockett awaits. Dillon talks about the success Blanchard had in Greensboro and the success he will have this week in Greensboro. When Crockett asks about the match with Sam Houston tonight, Blanchard speaks up.

"Crockett, Sam Houston is in my rearview. Tonight means a lot to him, a chance to redeem himself for embarrassing himself in Greensboro. For me, this is a glorified scrimmage. A warm-up for bigger and better in Spartanburg this week. While I'm getting my workout in against Houston, I assure you, Jerry Brisco, you are on my mind. You are the next man between me and the Carolinas Title. Then, it's Baker or Mulligan and I could care less which. You are looking at the first Carolinas Heavyweight Champion."

David Crockett tosses to commercial and this week's main event is up next.


We hear the voice of Dr. Tom Miller providing voice over as a commercial for this week's card in Spartanburg plays with the Mid-Atlantic Theme playing in the background. "This week, see the stars of Championship Wrestling Carolinas in action at the Memorial Auditorium in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Doors open at 7. Bell time 8pm. The semifinals of the Carolinas Heavyweight Title Tournament will see Tully Blanchard with James J. Dillon in his corner taking on the incomparable Jerry Brisco and then the fearsome Ox Baker against the vastly popular Blackjack Mulligan. The winners will collide for the Carolinas Title in the night's main event. All this, plus Malia Hosaka versus Leilani Kai, The Moondogs against The Freebirds, and six-man tag team action this week at the Memorial Auditorium in Spartanburg, South Carolina from Championship Wrestling Carolinas! The crowd at the Memorial Auditorium in Spartanburg come to life as Dr. Tom Miller steps to center ring to welcome them to a night of great Championship Wrestling action! He runs down tonight's card, six-man tag action featuring the semifinals and finals of the Carolinas Heavyweight Title Tournament with Tully Blanchard against Jerry Brisco and Ox Baker taking on Blackjack Mulligan. The winners of those two matches will face off in the main event for the Carolinas Championship! As referee Earl Hebner enters the ring, it's time for our opening contest and Crossfyre's "Badstreet U.S.A." brings the fans to their feet.

Tully Blanchard w/ J.J. Dillon pins Jerry Brisco after a top rope sledge in 21:10. Dillon holds Brisco's foot during the cover. As Blanchard rolls out and celebrates with Dillon, Brisco protests to referee Sandy Scott, but the ref saw nothing.

Ox Baker pins Blackjack Mulligan after the Heart Punch in 1:27

Medics hit the ring immediately as referee Tommy Young backs Baker off of Mulligan. Mulligan is stunned and leaves under his own power, but the Heart Punch has put Baker in the main event tonight.

There's lots of controversy surrounding the Carolinas Title Tournament from this past week, but the fact is Tully Blanchard's got that championship belt. We'll hear from him this week. Plus, we'll see Brian Christopher in action, The Masked Superstar is here, and a big tag team main event. Right now, the ladies are kicking us off this week on Carolinas Wrestling!"


Opening Contest
Leilani Kai pins Princess Victoria after the running splash in 7:49

Jerry Brisco comes out and joins David Crockett at the podium. Brisco is at a simmering calm, "David, no body likes to lose, but I can abide a loss when it's honest. Tully Blanchard, you didn't beat me honest. You needed Dillon's help and I don't think you can beat me heads-up."

As Brisco speaks, out walks Ox Baker to interrupt. "I see where this is going. You think that you whine, Brisco, and jump to the front of the line? Blanchard got lucky in Spartanburg. The line for a shot at that title forms behind me."

Baker gets to point blank range with Brisco, but Brisco doesn't take a step back, "So over you, then back in with Blanchard? That'll work for me." Brisco calmly backs away and we go to break.


Junior Heavyweight Attraction
"Too Sexy" Brian Christopher pins George South after a standing leg drop in 11:58

"Everybody Wants Money" by Nigel Jenkins plays and the studio boos commence as the Carolinas Heavyweight Champion Tully Blanchard and his manager J.J. Dillon, both dressed in fine suits, approach the podium and Bob Caudle. The Champ has the title belt in his hands and a smile on his face as his manager speaks.


"Mr. Caudle, the Carolinas Heavyweight Champion's time is at a premium, so we'll keep this short. Jerry Brisco, old news. Ox Baker, old news. We guaranteed the Carolinas Championship would come to Blanchard Enterprises and we deliver on our guarantees. Now, we guarantee a long and prosperous reign for your Carolinas Heavyweight Champion, Tully Blanchard." We go to commercial with the smiling image of the Champion.


Heavyweight Feature
The Masked Superstar knocks out Kenny Jay with the Superstar Clothesline in 3:31

Bob Caudle brings out matchmaker Ole Anderson to hopefully clear up some of the confusion surrounding the Carolinas Title. "First things first, if I were Tully Blanchard, I'd have my eyes wide open. Superstar looked mighty impressive just now. As for Brisco and Baker, I think they still have business with the Carolinas Champion. Baker made it to the finals in impressive fashion, but if not for J.J. Dillon, Baker might have been wrestling Jerry Brisco in the finals and who knows what might have happened. Well, I want to know what might have happened and both have a legitimate claim to a title shot. Seems to me we can solve both problems at the same time. This week in Asheville, North Carolina, Jerry Brisco's going to go heads-up with Ox Baker and the winner will be the number one contender to Tully Blanchard's Carolinas Title." On that big announcement, we go to commercial.


Dr. Tom Miller's voice comes over top of the Mid-Atlantic Theme, "Wrestling comes to the Civic Center in Asheville this week with the stars of Championship Wrestling Carolinas! In tag team action, The Heartland, Les Thatcher and Nigel McGuinness, take on The Moondogs. "The Hammer" Beverly Shade faces Princess Victoria. Sam Houston hooks it up with "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher. The Freebirds, Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy and "Badstreet" Brad Armstrong, in tag team action. And in the main event, a number one contender's match for a shot at the Carolinas Heavyweight Championship, Jerry Brisco will go one-on-one with Ox Baker. All that and more this week when Championship Wrestling Carolinas comes to the Civic Center in Asheville. Door open at 7, bell time 8 o'clock.
