I'll be splitting my one big Rebel Wrestling fed into smaller "territories", and I'd like advice from promoters who have experience running small feds as part of a larger fed.
I'll have one World Champion, World Tag Team Champion, etc. But I'll also have "regional champions". I'm torn between doing Rebel Wrestling Southeast, Southwest, Mid-South, Mid-Atlantic, etc. or having "territories" with rosters based on WWF, NWA, AWA, ECW, etc. For those of you who have done this, how did you determine your "regional territories" and rosters? Do you put all the Vintage wrestlers, Hardcore wrestlers, etc. in one place, or do you split them up amongst the smaller "territories"? I know "It's up to you promoter", but I'd appreciate any advice from those who have been there & done that.
On an unrelated topic, I'm curious how other promoters have handled teaming up tag team wrestlers that never teamed in real life. Example: Chris Candido, Randy Rose & Jim Cornette(wrestler) were all released in Promoter Prime together. Let's say you decide to have them form a team. Do you use Candido's PRIMA DONNA PLUNGE--even though it's meant to be used with Tom Prichard only? What about all of Rose's Midnight Express double team moves & finishers? If you use them, they'd be a strong team, but if you re-roll since Rose isn't teaming with Dennis Condrey, then they run the risk of being jobbers because you're constantly re-rolling on a lower offensive level. I know "It's up to you promoter", but I'm just curious how others have handled this.
Thanks in advance for any advice and/or ideas you can give me!

i very rarely throw two wrestlers together as a tag team. But lets see what you got first.

On those tag moves, it's completely up to what you are looking to get out of the pairing. If you want them to be competitive then they have to use some modified version of the tag moves. Maybe they are lower in potency if they're finishers or add 1, maybe not. If your aim is to have them be an irregular pair to put other teams over, then I'd not use them and stick to the defensive tags on rolls of 4 or lower for non standard tag teams.

I know this is for LOW but I think I do something similar in my VWTV fed with some of my Indy cards. I have a VWTV fed (like IWTV) which has multiple feds in it with each fed having their own/individual champions (both singles and tags) but also with an overall VWTV Champion and a VWTV Tag Team Champion who defend their titles on all my VWTV feds on a rotating basis. I determined my individual feds by making some of my Indy feds (Championship Wrestling from Vegas and Combat Vegas Wrestling) VWTV feds and then by creating a new fed called Absolute Intense Vegas Wrestling whose roster includes many wrestlers from AIW and BLP. My CWFV and CVW roster are mostly (but not exclusively) wrestlers who have appeared in CWFH and CZW. Each fed does 1 show/game month (a schedule similar to many real-life IWTV feds) but I also do periodic VWTV supershows every 3 game months where some wrestlers from the various VWTV feds will wrestle each other.

My suggestion is read the suggestions people are giving, go around and read a few feds that are built around the idea you want to do then do what they call in the retail business a soft opening. I mean when you figure out how you want to run your fed(s) and roll a few cards to see how things go. If you need to make adjustments, do them and start again. If you like how the cards turn out, either use that as the start of your fed or start again and go from there.

Personally, I'll use the tag moves/finisher/mechanics unless it specifically says it's only for a particular team. In the Randy Rose example, even though his card may have been fashioned after his run with Condrey, the card doesn't specifically say the moves can only be used with Condrey, so I'd allow him to use it with whatever partner. In the Candido example, it's exactly the opposite, I wouldn't use the PRIMA DONNA PLUNGE, as it specifically says it only works with Tom Prichard.

If I took two guys and wanted to make them a regular team in my game then any tag moves on the card I'd let them work with each other. Just envision something a little different for the move if you want.

Typically, I allow homemade tag teams to excute "3" tag moves and "3 Add 1" tag moves together. For finishers, I either roll again (rolling up to L2O, as has become the rule in LOW) or if I feel it's realistic that the duo could do the move, I might modify the rating. I have teamed Tommy Rogers and Marty Jannetty and I allowed them to do both of Rogers' tag finishers but both were given (0) ratings. Since both guys were tag specialists in roughly the same era and did a similar style, I didn't think it was unreasonable for Jannetty to do Rogers' tag finishers. Every case is different though. Great question!

Great question! Perhaps you have them using a weakened version of the tag finishers when they start teaming, and if they stay teaming for an extended period of time or number of fight cards, you improve the finishers. This would represent them congealing as a tag team and improving. You might have to feed them some lower tier teams at first, such as the Mulkey Brothers, coming out in the 2022 Enhancement Pack!

This would represent them congealing as a tag team and improving. Great point, brother! I would have to go back and look but I think I did something like this with Rogers and Jannetty for their first few matches together, where they didn't use Rogers' finishers but just the other "tag" moves.
