Hi everyone,
I am BRAND NEW to the game (got a starter set in the mail last week), and I am looking for some direction. Are there any rules, official or not, regarding how to run a promotion vs. promotion game? Not in the way of an interpromotional show or anything, but rather is there a ruleset for a scenario where "Player 1" books a show and plays through it, "Player 2" books a show and plays through it, and the two players compete for viewership/ratings/etc?
I did a quick search of the boards, but I couldn't find anything. I'm sure I'm missing something though.
Appreciate the help. Can't wait to dive into this game!

Not officially. There are definitely promoters who have run feds together at some point but I am not one of them despite my other half playing.

The classic tag line is "It's your fed promoter!"
The only limitations is your imagination.
Welcome and just have FUN!

I am relatively sure there is a setup somewhere for determining viewership and such... it could probably be adapted to more of a head to head thing... i would look in the archives perhaps for a "show ratings" or something of that nature... I will look through my stuff and see if it is something i still have also

This was originally my intention when I created the North American Wrestling Alliance. I'd wanted other FG players to pick one of the other available "NAWA territories" I created, create their own roster of 12 singles, 12 women, and 12 female wrestlers (all formatted to give their territories a "local wrestling flavor", i.e. Future Great Wrestling (FGW) in Hamilton, OH, and the now-defunct Heartland Wrestling Association in Cincinnati, OH, and now-defunct Independent Pro Wrestling Association in Dayton, OH), and compete for their territory's singles, women's and tag team titles. We'd all use the same exact rankings system, which would be necessary because once every three months or so, NAWA would've had a "national ranking" in which the #1 contender would compete for the NAWA National Heavyweight Championship. Alas, I couldn't garner any interest in my project, which is why I've scrapped the NAWA idea and made Tri-State Wrestling its own "local independent promotion".

So I did a set a while ago where I had rules for a Nielson ratings system. I know there were a couple others who did as well. The Monday night wars charts, as well as the warring feds chart should be what your looking for? Hey Tony! Any idea where I can find the monday night wars charts? Is this my set? If so if you can't find it, I can look it up and send you something from my computer!
