I went looking through my old stuff and I found the COTG Genesis book w/ Jack Hood card and a complete Early Classics set. Are these worth anything?
Thanks

You could get a mint for that Early Classics set. Not sure the market for the Genesis/Hood but I'm sure you can get a good price for them.

The Genesis + Hood card costed me quite a bit when I got them in an auction, and I know that Toaster was putting his up for a good chunk. Early Classics is pretty good value as well (probably more so than the Hood and Genesis stuff).

I might have a couple Genesis books here. I'll bring them to the auction this year. But that early classics could fetch a bit. 2 sold for $200 in the auction a few years back.

Last year I was offered $250 for my Early Classics set. I said no since I was not looking to sell.
I wonder, will the high priced offers for Early Classics go down once the Classic years are colorized?

Maybe a little but I doubt much. The guys like me that want to play will be happy with buying colorized versions, but the collector will still want the original and be willing to pay to get it.

I would say EC will still have high value after the FG classic years sets are colorized. EC is not going to be released again so it should still have a high value.

As I sit here I would pay 300$ for the Ec set. But if it was released in color I wouldn’t I’m not that much of a purist to strictly want b/w vs color. I just want the cards

Just recall, Early Classics was never an official set. It's the most wanted bootleg set out there.
