PRP Presents: Afterglow Pro Wrestling (80s Mania-ish)

Welcome to Afterglow Pro Wrestling, a subsidiary of Peppermint Rage Promotions. We plan to deliver larger than life characters and exiting in ring action, all coated in a radical neon glow.

ooc: this idea started as an excuse to get more use out of my 80s mania cards, as is probably clear this company exists in the same universe as PRP and I imagigine it to be a show that takes place in a modern setting (though with Scotty 2 hotty running around in PRP (as well as at least 1 more legend coming soon time is kinda meaningless in my universe anyway), where the presentation and much of the characters are parodies of 80s characters and culture, but also modern indie characters can show up unchanged. I will be using all of the 80s mania cards here with a few exaptions, Brohan and Strutter because I just don't want to book Hogan and Flair, and Hammerhead, because recent events have made "Evil Russian" not a particulary fun character to have around IMO, just figure I'd mention those three now so people don't expect them and get disappointed when they don't show up. Arugably with this fed being mostly 80s mania it shouldn't be in indies, however indies name will be appearing, and with it being in the same universe as my main fed, I thought it made sense to put them in the same section of the board. PRP: APW 1:

In the Opening Contest of the evening Dark Invader Def. Mightly Leo Leo managed to survive a lot of punishment (6 fatigue) before eventually being put down by a choke lift allowing Invader to advance to the semi finals.

Up next we see Pierre the Enourmous Def. Star Boy quickly squashing him with a GINORMOUS DROP to advance to the semi finals.

Continuing with more round 1 action we see Ace Arcadium Def. Cobalt Commander with a GAME OVER to advance.

In our final round one contest Pelvis Pressly Def. BUZZSAW In a major upset, via a GUITAR SMASH while the referee's back was turned.

In our first break from tournamnet action we see Little Shop of Horrors (Keith Blood & Slashmaster) Def. American Heroes (Dangerzone & Warhawk) Slashmaster wasting no time in taking down Warhawk with a HATCHET CHOP while Blood ran interference.

In the first semi final Contest Dark Invader Def. Pierre the Enourmous Pierre was simply too slow to get his hands of Invader who forces his way into the Finals with THE CORRUPTOR.

But who will face him in the finals? We find out as Ace Arcadium Def. Pelvis Pressly with a CHEAT CODE.

but before we can see who will be crowned the First Afterglow Champion we return to tag team action as Neon Express (Chet Skye & Jesse Wild) Def. Metalheads (Ceasar Sleaze & Dizzy Lixx) Wild pinning Lixx off of a perfect cross body block.

Back to tag team action Master Minds Def. American Heroes Skullgore pinning Dangerzone with a move I forgot to record.

In a triple threat match Veda Scott Def. Green Ant & Bug Buster Buster seemed intend on exterminating Green Ant, Allowing Veda to capitalize tossing buster from the ring after an EXTERMINATION, only to immedietly nail Green Ant with a FLEX EXPRESS.

Continuing on, Synthwave Speed Force Def. Metalheads Starboy pinning Dizzy Lixx off of a SUMMERSAULT KICK.

In a surprisingly competitive, but never in doubt match Red Pirate Rogers Def. Tennis Pro with a SWASHBUCKLER.

In a shocking upset Metalheads Def. Broken Hardys Sleaze pinning Matt with a TWISTED MISTER.

Looking to bounce back after his disastrous run in the main PRP Claudio Castagnoli Def. Tennis Pro with a RICOLA BOMB Claudio's losing streak still in his head as he was barely able to eek out a win against Tennis Pro of all opponents.

Team Tremendous Def. American Heroes Bill Carr pinning Dangerzone after he and Barry nailed him with a BOOK 'EM DANNO.

Dr. Cube Def. Green Ant & Johnny Cobra once they smelled blood, Cube and Cobra both focused their attention on the Ant, eventually Cube was the one in the right place at the right time to finish him with an ICONACLISM.

Sythwave Speed Force Def. Little Shop of Horrors after the Horrors get themselves disqualified for a vicious assault outside the ring, as the titles cannot change hands via DQ Little Shop of Horrors retain their titles.

In what can only be described as making a statement Veda Scott Def. Red Pirate Rogers after almost immediately hitting Roberts with a Q.E.D. followed by a FLEX EXPRESS, and another FLEX EXPRESS before tossing him out of the ring for an easy count out victory.
