I bought this DVD recently and got around to watching the first of two discs last night. Like the name says, it is some of the best matches WWF/E had at the world-famous Garden. Sprinkled in between matches different wrestlers share memories and their views on MSG. The first match was from Feb of 1971 between Ivan Koloff and Pedro Morales for the WWF World Title. As I have said before, Pedro was one of my favorites when I stated watching wrestling, so I was excited for the match and it delivered. The wild thing is the play by play was done by good ol' JR. I know Jim Ross had been involved in wrestling for a long time but did not realize it was THAT long. In reality they did not have the original play by play and so he recorded some for the match. Matt Stryker does as well for another match later but he spent a lot of time talking about the times the match took place and history of wrestling which I actually enjoyed. Only issue with the first match is the original audio goes in and out. Plus for some reason you hear someone ringing the bell a few times. Not sure if that was an AV/sound mixing issue, if a fan had a bell or they rang the bell to let the wrestlers know how much time had passed as JR mentioned the curfew they had at MSG and in NY back then for matches. I must say as they got more into the 80's and early 90's the matches were not as exciting for me as I had seen many of them but still fun. I will watch the second DVD tonight or in a few days as there are a few matches I have not seen either being from a PPV I missed or from a time I did not watch WWE as much. All in all, it was worth buying this set for me.
