JOSH ALEXANDER def. Malice in a Falls Count Anywhere match. **
- Alexander pinned Malice after a C4 SPIKE. <Tokens: Malice 6>
- With relentless determination, Alexander proved that he could match his opponent's ferocity. Repeated chairshots busted Malice wide open and Alexander followed up by wrapping his leg around a guardrail for a twisted ANKLE LOCK variation. Realizing that Malice was not going to surrender, Alexander finished him on the concrete floor.
MIRANDA GORDY (w/ Jake Something & Curt Stallion) def. Sumie Sakai. *
- Gordy pinned Sakai <snake eyes> after a Samoan Drop. <Tokens: na / Gordy received DQ warning.>
- Hooking the tights for leverage, Gordy picked up a tainted win.
- The Freebirds tried to further humiliate Sakai after the bell, but Darby Allin & Blake Christian rushed the ring to make the save! A wild brawl erupted and security was needed to separate the combatants.
DIRE THRONE (Tommy End & Brody King) def. Bear Country (Bear Boulder & Bear Bronson). ***1/2
- King pinned Bronson after a GONZO BOMB. <Tokens: End 2, King 2 - Bronson 3 / Boulder and End received DQ warnings.>
- Enduring some serious punishment, End & King gradually turned the tide. They cut the ring in half, isolating Bronson while preventing Boulder from becoming a factor.
IVELISSE def. Thunder Rosa to retain the IPW Ladies Grand Prix Championship. squash
- Ivelisse pinned Rosa after a DESERT EAGLE. <Tokens: Rosa 1>
- This was a successful version ten title defense.
- Rosa seemed preoccupied heading into this match, allowing Ivelisse to make short work of the challenger.
- Taylor Made conducted a post-match interview with Ivelisse. She wondered if Rosa had truly been prepared for this encounter, but indicated that she would not waste too much thought on the situation. Kissing her title belt, Ivelisse stated that she was ready for whoever was next in line.
AMERICA'S MOST WANTED (Chris Harris & James Storm) def. Outlaw Inc (Homicide & Eddie Kingston). **
- Storm pinned Homicide <snake eyes> after teaming with Harris for a DEATH SENTENCE. <Tokens: Homicide 1, Kingston 1>
- This was an intense repeat encounter as AMW pushed the envelope in order to even the score in this escalating feud. Taking out Kingston with an illegal double team effort, AMW were then able to focus their energy on Homicide. To further complicate matters, Harris held onto Homicide's legs during the cover while he struggled to kick out.
- AMW continued to assault Homicide after the bell. Smashing a pair of bottles against his head, Harris & Storm then made a swift retreat just as Kingston was preparing to clean house. <Homicide injured for 1 card.>
Promoter Troy Peterson announced that the IPW All Is Fair '23 tour will be kicking off in mid-June and to watch social media for updates. He also encouraged everyone to attend IPW INDEPENDENCE DAY FIREWORKS which will take place on 2023.Jul.04 back here at the Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines, IA.
JEREMY WYATT def. Chris Masters to retain the IPW Unified Heavyweight Championship. *1/2
- Wyatt pinned Masters after a superplex. <Tokens: Masters 3>
- This was a successful version three title defense.
- Continuous taunts and evasive maneuvers prevented Masters from simply overpowering the champion. Unable to execute his gameplan, Masters failed to generate any serious offense and Wyatt took advantage of his frustration.
