Oracle startled from his slumber and had the mother of headaches. Where was he? How long has he been asleep? How did he come to be at this place?
Confusingly, he looked around and realized that he was in a holding cell of some sort. Abruptly a series of explosions sounded from afar and what seemed like screams followed shortly after.
Oracle leapt back as the cell door opened and glanced down the hallway. Two individuals entered the room and asked Oracle if he was feeling well. Oracle glanced at them and mumbled something under his breath.
One of the individuals stated that it was obvious that Oracle had too much to drink the night before and that he was named Partide and the other was Votarist. Partide continued by saying that they were late to the Council of Kronos meeting and that they would not be forgiven lightly.
Oracle asked about the explosions and screams and was told that the explosions were fireworks, and the screams were screams of delight from the residents of Kronos.
Votarist jokingly said that the Council was going to kill the three of them and held out his hand toward Oracle. Oracle looked up and saw a hand extended to him. “Come with me if you want to live.” mused Votarist. Oracle’s trembling hand reached up and grabbed on the extended hand.
