You remember in the olden days when you would go to a movie rental place and scan the shelves, maybe looking for a certain title, and something catches your eye? A movie you had forgotten about or never even heard about. Well, I have been experience that while looking for movies on Walmarts web site and that led me to this gem. It is a Russian movie from 1956. I really knew nothing about the movie but the cover intrigued me. It appeared to be seven monsters but it was not the case. But for $10 it was worth getting. I got 2 DVDs. The English version which had dubbed voices from a young Mike Wallace and Paul Frees who I knew from some Christmas specials. The other was the foreign language version. Anyways, the movie was entertaining enough. Good vs evil and all that. I found amusing certain parts that reflected other works. Either ones they took for this movie or ones others might have took for theirs. From the "one for all and all for one" line to "I am your father" to the three headed dragon which predated King Ghidorah. While not a great movie with either plot holes or something lost in translation it was an enjoyable viewing. Considering where it came from and the time period it is pretty good.
