Been meaning to make this post for a couple months. Do a Powerbomb is a new comic from Image Comics created by Daniel Warren Johnson.
Basic plot is about a daughter who sees her mother die in the ring, then grows up, in opposition to her father's wishes, to become a pro-wrestler. That is a very short synopsis of the first three quarters of the first issue. Then it takes a bit of a turn as a necromancer asks her to be part of his extra dimensional tag tournament where the winner can bring back anyone who has passed away. Issue two deals with some past and our main character finding a partner.
The art is absolutely @#$%*&% phenomenal!! Three issues in and the story flows in sync with the art in a kinetic, non-stop way. DWJ created the comic after becoming a fan of New Japan Wrestling before and during the pandemic.
If you are a Champions of the Galaxy fan, this is VERY much up your alley, but if you are a lover of wrestling and haven't read a decent comic in awhile - because there just aren't a lot of decent comics that do wrestling right - you should check this out.

So I figured I'd find someone had posted about this when it first started. Final issue came out today. Daniel Warren Johnson is a massive wrestling nerd, and he absolutely does the concept justice. Had a smile on my face, and couldn't help but think of a COTG, Kronos, or Future Shock comic by him!
