Not sure who all saw that Tom was speaking at the CAC. I suggested we do a card for the convention, and Brian Blair obviously made the most sense since he is President. The card is a bit more than usual, but because profits from the card will go to the CAC.

Staying "in" with the CAC is probably just as important as Thesz/Tragos. Blair isn't a game-changer by himself, but a.) he deserves two cards if Brunzell has two, and b.) it could open the door for further signings down the road.

This was a fun card to research, and I had trouble pinning down a finisher, so I texted Brian Blair. He actually recommended something Else! I’ll spill more beans after the card is released, but now I’m SUPER excited to I traded K.T. Butcher Magnum TA for him!

I’m helping Tom put together his talk for the CAC so I’ve known about this card for a few weeks. It was fun watching the guessing. I badly wanted to say, “All the clues are on the board.” (Between this thread and Tom posting about his talk.) But I didn’t want to do one of those “I know what it is.” type posts. Ordered five copies. Happy to support the CAC. Great job LOW crew!

Eh. As part of Prime or something, I'd be okay with it. the Killer Bees card is probably prime Blair as far as I'm concerned. As a stand alone it's a kind of a big ask for $5. I get why this card is a thing, and I have my opinions, but I'll just leave it as a "I'll probably pick it up eventually". In a year, it will be available exclusively on eBay for a grand. 😁 So why is this card not on the special CAC background? Seems like that would be more fitting. |
