Joe Blanchard v. Chris Candido
Referee: Morgan Dollar
Fast paced opener that saw Candido get the initial upper hand. Blanchard came back with a backdrop that spilled Candido outside to the floor. Blanchard battled back and nearly took the win after a piledriver. Candido avoided a charge in the corner and rolled up Blanchard for a near fall using the ropes for leverage. A BLOND BOMB followed and that was it after six minutes of action. Winner: Candido. * ½
The Destroyer v. Stevie Richards
Referee: Morgan Dollar
Destroyer had control of the action from the opening bell and punished Richards with slams and knees. The fans got behind Richards and he responded with the first near fall of the match with a flying forearm. Richards never let up and stunned Destroyer with a STEVIE KICK for the huge victory after five minutes. (Snake Eyes!_ Winner: Richards. * ½
Koko Ware v. Justin Credible
Referee: Morgan Dollar
Both men showcased their speed early. Ware survived an attack of stomps from Credible and took over the match with suplexes. A MISSLE DROPKICK was on target for a near fall. Credible managed to survive a second MISSLE DROPKICK about half way through the match. Credible had his offensive moments but never was able to get Ware in a position to go for the win before a third MISSILE DROPKICK ended it after about nine minutes: Winner: Ware * ½
Texas Death Match – Mikey Whipwreck v. Sgt. Slaughter
Referee: Joey Marella
The action spilled from ring almost immediately and the two men brawled into the parking lot where Slaughter was run into a parked car. Whipwreck took the fight back to the ring and nearly ended it with a WHIPPER SNAPPER to a bloodied Slaughter. Whipwreck was in control of 90% of the match beating Slaughter with a pipe on the floor and getting the best of every brawl on the floor. The fans were roaring as Whipwreck put Slaughter down with the third WHIPPER SNAPPER of the match after about 11 minutes. Winner: Whipwreck ***
Larry Hennig v. Austin Idol
Referee: Morgan Dollar
Dollar let these two settle things in the ring which made for a hard hitting back and forth battle. Hennig was able to get the best of a brawl on the floor but could not get the three count with THE AXE. Idol took his lumps but came back with an attack focused on the lower body. Hennig made the ropes to escape a LAS VEGAS LEGLOCK. Hennig power back with chops and forearms. Idol backdropped Hennig to the floor and a chop block lead to a near count-out. Hennig only had one wheel for the balance of the match but still managed to have his moments. Idol focus stomps to the leg and a series of knee breakers did more damage before a LAS VEGAS LEGLOCK ended it after about 17 minutes. (Snake eyes). Winner: Idol ***
Dream Team (Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine) w/Johnny Valiant v. Brian Blair & Brickhouse Brown
Referee: Morgan Dollar
Dollar causes some chaos early by sending Valiant to the back before the bell. Blair and Brown are able to capitalize early but Brown gets cut off from his corner and cannot get the tag to Blair. Valentine gets near falls after a shoulder breaker and belly to back suplex. Beefcake gets his shots in to keep the pressure on and eventually get the pin after a scoop up body slam after 16 minutes. Winners: Dream Team ** ½
George Hackenschmidt v. Dan Severn
Referee: Morgan Dollar, Vintage Charts
Handshake and they go to work. Both men counter early. Severn uses knees to the head to get the upper hand. A belly to belly throw gets a two count. Hackenschmidt battles back and there are several tussles along the ropes and in the corners. Both men look for an advantage and it is Hackenschmidt who finds it first with a single leg pick up and slam for the three count after 11 minutes with Dollar making a rather quick count. Winner: Hackenschmidt **
Dog Collar Match – Canadian Heavyweight Champion “Macho Man” Randy Savage v. Pampero Firpo
Referee: Morgan Dollar
It little seemed to just take moments before both men were a bloody mess after the action spilled to the floor several times. Savage gained the upper and after Firpo scored a near fall. FLYING ELBOW SMASH landed but the fans were shocked when Firpo kicked out. Savage took it back to the floor to inflict more damage with the chain and then mounted the corner, wrapped the chain around his arm and landed a chain assisted FLYING ELBOW SMASH to retain the title after about seven minutes. Winner: Savage ** ½
