Card 55 Civic Auditorium, Oshawa, ON- May 15, 2023
Mike Rotunda v. Disco Inferno Referee: Joey Marella; The story in this one was Rotunda controlling the action with his scientific skills but Inferno finding a way to just hang in long enough to keep the action going. Twice Inferno kicked out after a BUTTERFLY SUPLEX from Rotunda but he had nothing left when Rotunda caught him in a leveraged abdominal stretch for the submission after eight minutes. Winner: Rotunda **
Tony Garea v. Angelo Poffo Referee: Dick Woehrle; For the first time since arriving in the territory, Garea looked very much like a tag team wrestler out of his element in singles competition. Poffo was not able to get his finisher in however as Garea still showcased some excellent countering skills. Poffo had ninety percent of this one but not the part that mattered as Garea stunned Poffo with a Thesz Press and then locks in an abdominal stretch to get the submission after 9 minutes. Winner: Garea **
The Crusher & Larry Hennig v. Brickhouse Brown & Tiger Conway Jr. Referee: Morgan Dollar; This was classic power v. speed match up that was dominated by The Crusher & Larry Hennig. Crusher and Hennig were able to cut off Conway Jr. for a long stretch and when Brown made the hot tag, he could not get anything going. Jr. survived a CRUSHER NELSON but the finish came when The Crusher used an elbow drop for the three count after 17 minutes. Winners: Crusher & Hennig. * 1/2
Dog Collar Match – Greg Valentine v. Brian Christopher Referee: Morgan Dollar; Valentine had words with the official getting under the official’s skin before taking control early and made use of the chain to clothesline Christopher and then choke him out in the middle of the ring. Valentine was not able to get the pin after a shoulder breaker and throat drop on the ropes. Chops landed. Late in the match, both men went for a clothesline with a chain and crashed to the mat. Valentine was up first, grabbed a leg and won the match after 7 minutes of action. Winner: Valentine **
Baron Von Raschke v. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper Referee: Morgan Dollar; Von Raschke jumps Piper as he come to ringside but Piper is ready bounces Von Raschke’s face off the ringside table. The action goes inside and Piper uses a SLEEPER to immediately down Von Raschke in just seconds. Winner: Piper DUD. Texas Death Match - “Superstar” Bill Dundee v. Austin Idol Referee: Dick Woehrle; The action was back and forth at the bell. Both men were able to pick up near falls early on. Idol took over and at one point brought a table into the ring over the protests of the referee. Dundee ended up on the table and Idol came off the top but Dundee moved sending Idol crashing through the table! With the fans buzzing the action carried on but Dundee never seemed able maintain control and Idol was able to catch him in a LAS VEGAS LEGLOCK for the win after 10 minutes. Winner: Idol ** ½ Canadian Heavyweight Title Tournament Rick Rude v. “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith Referee: James Beard; This was a cracker of a match with both men laying it all on the line. Rude looked like he would walk away with an easy win but Smith kicked out of an early RUDE AWAKING popping the fans. Smith took over tossing around Rude. Rude managed to regain control slamming Smith off the top of the corner. It was back and forth with both men trading near falls before Rude caught Smith with a swinging neckbreaker to advance in the tournament after 12 minutes. Winner: Rude ***
Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) & Paul Ellering v. Prince Kharis & Moondogs (Moondog Spot & Moondog Rex) w/James Mitchell Referee: Dick Woehrle; Ellering starts in against Kharis and dominates in and out of the ring. A NECKBREAKER downs Kharis but Mitchell is able to cause a distraction. Animal tags in and crushes the Mummy with a POWER SLAM for a two and half count. Animal then comes off the top with a deathjump for the win in just five minutes. Winners: Road Warriors & Ellering *

Card 56 Niagara Falls Memorial Arena, Niagara Falls, ON- May 16, 2023
Tiger Conway Jr. v. Angelo Poffo Referee: Morgan Dollar; Both men started to exchange blows before Gary Michael Capppetta could finish the introductions. It was back and forth early with counters well executed by both competitors. Poffo took over with a mix of science and brutality staring with a top rope neck snap and clubbing forearms. Several times Conway Jr. was tossed to the floor. Poffo scored several two counts before mounting the corner for an impressive deathjump cross body block for the three count after 8 minutes of action. Winner: Poffo. * ½ Malia Hosaka v. Rockin Robin Referee: Dick Woehrle; Robin was able to survive an early attack by Hosaka and take control after a flying lariat. Robin came off the top with a cross body block deathjump for a huge near fall. She went back to the top but Hosaka was able to toss her opponent to the mat. It was break she needed. Hosaka was able to connect with her FRANKENSTEINER finisher and pick up the comeback victory after 8 minutes of action. Winner: Hosaka **
The Crusher v. Brickhouse Brown Referee: Morgan Dollar; Brown took an epic beating in this one with Crusher’s power advantage proving to be almost impossible for Brown to overcome. Crusher unleashed stomps, elbows and knees but was not able to get Brown in a position to go for the win. Brown was able to finally create some space and landed dropkicks and punches to get the crowd back on their feet. Crusher took Brown’s best and was soon back in control. Brown survived a CRUSHER NELSON and a CRUSHER BOLO before a bear hug ended it after 11 minutes. Winner: Crusher * ½
Austin Idol & Greg Valentine v. Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell) Referee: Dick Woerhle; Idol and Valentine cut off Brunzell from the opening bell and within the first few minutes Blair had to save his partner from a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and a LAS VEGAS LEGLOCK. It did not look good for the Bees but Woerhle was knocked down after a deathjump attempt from Idol. The Bees were able to mount a comeback as the referee recovered and the action evened out. The Bees soon found themselves in trouble and Brunzell was able to kick out of a pair of really near falls. MASKED CONFUSION had the fans roaring and Valentine & Idol fuming. The Masked Bees hit BEE STING twice on Idol but could not get the three count. The action spilled to the floor and Idol smashed Killer Bee #1 into the ringside table. It was enough for the official to call for the disqualification after 22 minutes. Both teams brawled after the bell with the Bees clearing the ring with dropkicks. Winners: Killer Bees by disqualification *** ½
“The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith v. Larry Hennig Referee: Morgan Dollar; The Axe was not in a good mood and gave it to the official before bell. The story in this match was Hennig being able to set the pace and use brawling to maintain the advantage. It was power, chops, punches and slams that punished the Bulldog. Smith was finally able to make a comeback including a high impact superplex and a twisting power slam both of which shook ringside but he was never able to get in a position to go for the win. Hennig brawled back into control and ended the match with back to back THE AXE finishers after 11 minutes. **
Rick Rude v. Mike Rotunda Referee: Morgan Dollar; Rotunda uses his mat skills to frustrate Rude from the opening bell. Rude regroups on the floor. Back in the ring, Rotunda charges into the corner and both men crash together. Rude recovers first and hits a RUDE AWAKENING to claim the victory out of nowhere after just three minutes. Winner: Rude *
Canadian Heavyweight Title Tournament – Baron Von Raschke v. Dick Hutton Referee: Morgan Dollar; Von Raschke confronts Gary Michael Cappetta during the introduction and grabs him the by the collar but Hutton straights things out with an atomic drop. Von Raschke gets the upper hand however after the bell and really controls a majority of the action with his brawling. However, Von Raschke can only get one two count while in control before Hutton gets the action to the mat. Hutton uses an atomic drop and scoop slam before going to the top for an ugly, but effective, cross body block deathjump for the win after seven minutes. Winner: Hutton *
Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/Paul Ellering v. Moondogs (Moondog Rex & Moondog Spot) w/James Mitchell Referee; Morgan Dollar; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside A rather rough night for Morgan Dollar continued as the Moondogs and Mitchell had the official trapped in the corner and scared for his life. The is was about as wild as you would expect. The early action was dominated by the Warriors and their power attack. At one point, Animal battering rammed Spot into the ring post shoulder first. The Moondogs were able to avoid being pinned even after a POWERSLAM from Animal onto Rex. Dollar was knocked down for several moments mid way through the match and the Moondogs appeared to have the match won after a MOONDOG DROP. However, with no referee to make the count the action continued. Late in the match, Hawk had to save Animal from being pinned after a SHOULDER BREAKER from Rex. The action ended up on the floor where Spot smashed Hawk with a chair which earned him a disqualification after 34 minutes. Both teams brawled after the bell. Winners: Road Warriors by disqualification *****

The Moondogs certainly pushed the Roadies to the limit -- it's quite rare to see a five-star rating on a technical decision... Worthy of a title rematch... Great stuff!

Card 57 Stouffville Arena, Stouffville, ON- May 17, 2023
Angelo Poffo v. Brickhouse Brown Referee; James Beard Poffo managed to keep the action on the mat neutralizing the high impact attack on Brown. A simple body slam gave Poffo a two count and his NECKBREAKER ended it after just four minutes. Winner: Poffo *
Tony Garea v. Mike Rotunda Referee: Dick Woehrle Rotunda shocks ringside when he jumps Garea at ringside and throws him into the ring post. Garea finally enters the ring he is busted open. Rotunda goes to the top to finish his opponent but Garea slams him to the mat and then applies his ABDOMINAL STRETCH. Rotunda makes the ropes. Back and forth counters rule the action but the blood loss soon takes a toll on Garea. Rotunda uses a BUTTERFLY SUPLEX but cannot get the three count. Garea also kicks out after a flying clothesline and a vertical suplex before Rotunda finally ends it with as second BUTTERFLY SUPLEX after 7 minutes. Winner: Rotunda ***
Moondog Rex w/James Mitchell v. Road Warrior Animal w/Paul Ellering Referee: James Beard; Animal showcased his power from the opening bell but Rex proved he was a worthy opponent kicking out of a pair of POWER SLAMS. Animal just kept attacking. Mitchell took matters into his own hands smashing Animal with the book of the dead. The distraction allowed Rex to finally go on the attack. The action spilled to the floor where Rex smashed Animal with a chair and then choked him with it. Beard had no choice but to call for the disqualification after six minutes. Ellering was able to smash Mitchell and then grab the Moondogs own bone and smash him with it saving Animal for injury. Hawk arrived and Mitchell wisely retreated with Rex at his side. Winner: Animal by disqualification * ½ Dick Hutton & “Rowdy” Roddy Piper v. The Crusher & Rick Rude Referee: Morgan Dollar; There was an uneasiness on both teams as the four finalists in the Canadian Heavyweight Title were booked into a tag team encounter. Crusher was able to go on an impressive attack against Hutton. However, after gaining a near submission with a CRUSHER NELSON and a two counter after a CRUSHER BOLO, Rude tagged himself into the match infuriating Crusher. Rude dominated against but Piper and Hutton but eventually needed a tag out which was met with a forearm smash from his own partner! Crusher then walked away leaving Rude to his own devices. It did not go well for Rude as Piper thrashed Rude in and out of the ring but could not get the win. Hutton was tagged back in but he to came up short in his efforts and Rude found an opening, struck with a RUDE AWAKENING and picked up the shocking pinfall after twenty minutes. Winner: The Crusher & Rick Rude ****
Tiger Conway Jr. v. Moondog Spot w/James Mitchell Referee: Dick Woehrle; Conway Jr. took a beating early on in this one but he was able to bring the crowed to their feet when he reversed a whip on the flooring sending his opponent shoulder first into the post. Conway Jr. then unleashed his high impact offense but was not have to get the pin before the momentum turned back in favour of the Moondog when he sent Conway Jr. into the post. From that point, it was back and forth until Conway Jr. was finally able to hit a FLYING HEAD BUTT and collect the three count when Mitchell was unable to cause a distraction after 13 minutes. Winner: Conway Jr. **
“The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith v. Baron Von Raschke Referee: Morgan Dollar; Smith shows off his power but Von Raschke scores stops him with a series of headlocks and thrusts to the throat. Smith sends Von Raschke into the ropes but Von Raschke counters a backdrop with a piledriver and then traps Smith in a BRAIN CLAW. Dollar calls for the bell after just 2 minutes, perhaps rather quickly! Winner: Von Raschke. DUD
Prince Kharis w/James Mitchell v. Road Warrior Hawk w/Paul Ellering Referee: Dick Woehrle; Hawk was all over Kharis for most of the match impressing the fans with his power attack against his larger foe. Mitchell was able to cause a distraction and later interfere in the action to keep the match going. Kharis had brief moments in control but that was it. Hawk rocked the fans with a gorilla press slam to get the three count after 18 minutes. Winner: Hawk ** ½
Steel Cage Match – Austin Idol & Greg Valentine v. Brian Christopher & “Superstar” Bill Dundee Referee: James Beard; The fans were electric at the outset. It was back and forth early on. Christopher and Dundee were able to cut off Valentine and went to work. Valentine was able to catch Christopher on the top and slammed him to the mat. Valentine then mounted the corner himself only to get slammed to the mat as the crowd roared. Dundee followed up with a SUPERSTAR BOMB for a huge near fall. The deathjump cross body from Christopher followed for another near fall when the pin save was blocked. The action began to even out again before Dundee found himself cut off from his partner after a four-way bawl occurred during a pin save attempt by Idol. Back to back piledrivers from Idol did not get the job done. A sleeper almost ended it. Card 58 Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, ON – June 15, 2023
Angelo Poffo v. Brian Christopher Referee: Morgan Dollar; This was a battle from the opening bell. Christopher charged into the corner but Poffo managed to duck out and then roll up Christopher for two. A NECKBREAKER follows for another two count. Poffo continued to press the action but Christopher manage to find an opening and lands a bulldog for a near fall of his own. A sitout power bomb almost ends it. It is back and forth and Christopher goes on a tear leading to a HIP HOP DROP for the win after 12 minutes. Winner: Christopher ** ½
Disco Inferno v. Tiger Conway Jr. Referee: Dick Woehrle The fans are all over Inferno but he is able to shake it off and dominates the action getting the win with LAST DANCE in just three minutes. Winner: Inferno DUD
Canadian Heavyweight Title Tournament – Semi-Finals: Rick Rude v. Dick Hutton Referee: Dick Woehlre; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside Rude is all over the fans before the bell and ringside has very little cheer about as Rude dominates the action from bell to bell. Hutton survives two RUDE AWAKENING and a top rope sledgehammer before a third RUDE AWAKENING puts Rude into the finals after 7 minutes. Winner: Rude **
Canadian Heavyweight Title Tournament – Semi-Finals: The Crusher v. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper Referee: Morgan Dollar; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside Crusher jumps Piper on the floor but it is Crusher who ends up eating the ringside table. Into the ring, Piper use a figure four leglock to punish Crusher and then picks up near falls after a knee lift and a back suplex. Piper then locks in a SLEEPER and that is it after 3 minutes. Winner: Piper * ½
Texas Death Match Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/Paul Ellering v. Moondogs (Moondog Rex & Moondog Spot) w/James Mitchell Referee: Morgan Dollar; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside; This was insanity from start to finish. The Warriors were able to cut off Rex early on and soon hit him with a DOOMSDAY DEVICE but Mitchell was able to cause a distraction. The Warriors continued to dominate and used a DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Spot but once again Mitchell saved the day this time getting up on the apron where he was promptly decked by Hawk. Moondogs finally were able to get something going and the action WENT OUTSDIE THE AREA! Animal backdropped Spot onto a car in front of the Gardens! Spot then took a beating as Hawk used a chair to bloody Spot and later Animal battering rammed Spot into the ring post. Rex was able to get back into the match but the Warriors pushed him around. The finish came with another DOOMSDAY DEVICE to Spot which left him in a heap. Warriors retain after 23 minutes and Spot needs assistance leaving ringside. Winners: Warriors *****
Larry Hennig v. Brickhouse Brown Referee: Joey Marella; Hennig was able to push around Brown early on but Brown stormed back and used punching flurry to set up a FLYING BODY PRESS. Hennig kicked out and that was as close as Brown would get to the win. The chops, punches and tackles of Hennig were too much and a chinlock and pummel was enough to get the three count after 7 minutes. Winner: Hennig * ½
Mike Rotunda v. “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith Referee: Morgan Dollar; Dollar had strict instructions for both men before the bell. Rotunda used his skills to get the action to the mat but the power of Smith allowed him to escape and hit back to back superplexes. Rotunda quickly regrouped and a series of leveraged abdominal stretches wore out Smith and allowed Rotunda to hit a flying clothesline for a near fall and another two count after a vertical suplex. Rotunda nailed a BUTTERFLY SUPLEX to gain the impressive win after 9 minutes. Winner: Mike Rotunda **
Baron Von Raschke v. “Superstar” Bill Dundee Referee: Joey Marella; Dundee is quickly overpowered and when the action spills to the floor things only get worse. Back in the ring, Von Raschke punishes Dundee with brawling, knees and elbows. The action goes back to the floor and Von Raschke uses a chair to deck Dundee and Marella calls for the disqualification after 9 minutes. Winner: Dundee by disqualification *
Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell) v. Austin Idol & Greg Valentine Referee: Morgan Dollar; Idol and Valentine were firing on all cylinders tonight and were able to focus their attack on Brunzell from early on. They were even able to intimidate the official before the bell. Blair was able to get into the ring but only for brief moments. Idol picked up a two count after a deathjump cross body to Brunzell about mid way through the match. The action ended up on the floor and Brunzell took a chair from Valentine and smashed him with it which caused Dollar to call for the disqualification after 11 minutes. Winners: Bees by disqualification * 1/2
Canadian Heavyweight Title Tournament Finals – Rick Rude v. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper Referee: Morgan Dollar; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside; Piper charges the ring and explodes with a flurry of punches. Rude is getting thrashed. Piper locks in a SLEEPER. JIMMY HART IS AT RINGSIDE!!!! Piper maintains his focus . . . Rude is slumping . . . makes the ropes. Piper continues to attack. Another SLEEPER. Hart is on the apron. Megaphone is in the ring . . . THUNK!!!! Rude goes down. Piper takes it to the floor . . . Dr. Mike Lano is a human foreign object . . . Rude takes advantage. Back in the ring. Rude has he wits about him now. Piledrivers. Neckbreakers. Top rope sledgehammers. Piper kicks out of two near falls. Fans are roaring. RUDE AWAKENING. Three count after 13 minutes. Piper is not happy after the bell. Suddenly, Austin Idol & Greg Valentine arrive and it is three on one. Security arrives and it is chaos to end the night! Winner and new Canadian Heavyweight Champion: Rude *** ½

Totally looking forward to the upcoming six-man tag match, featuring the heavyweight and tag team champs on opposite sides of the equation... Good times!

Card 59 The Forum, Hamilton, ON - Maple Leaf Wrestling Taping – June 16, 2023
“Wildfire” Tommy Rich v. Lenny Lane Referee: Morgan Dollar Lane is all over Gary Michael Cappetta but Rich hit the ring and saves the day earning a huge ovation from the fans. Rich is in control until Lane is able to reverse a whip on the floor and sends Rich into the ring post. Rich is wearing the crimson mask from that point and kicks out after a gut wrench facebuster and after a running bulldog. The fans get behind Rich and he mounts an impressive comeback hitting back to back THESZ PRESS finishers for the victory after 10 minutes. ** ½
Love Brothers (“Horrible” Hartford Love & “Rotten” Reginald Love) v. Jimmy Hart leads Canadian Heavyweight Champion Rick Rude to the ring and they stop in with Gordon Solie to speak their minds on Rude championship victory and the upcoming challenge of Roddy Piper at the London Gardens.
Canadian Heavyweight Champion Rick Rude w/Jimmy Hart v. Tiger Conway Jr. Referee: Morgan Dollar The fans are on their feet when Dollar sends Hart packing before the bell. Rude is left to his own devices and is in the fight of his life as Conway Jr. manages to kick out of pin attempts after a swinging neckbreaker and a piledriver. Conway Jr. showcases his skills and is not afraid to mix it up with the champion when the action spills outside. Late, Rude goes to the top but “Rowdy” Roddy Piper comes out to ringside for a quick distraction. It is enough for Conway Jr. to be able to slam Rude to the mat. Conway Jr. dominates from that point and a FLYING HEAD BUTT gives him the non-title victory after 13 minutes. Winner: Conway Jr. ***
Austin Idol & Greg Valentine w/Jimmy Hart v. Bill Mulkey & Randy Mulkey Referee: Morgan Dollar; Hart is still not impressed after the events of Rick Rude’s match and Morgan Dollar is clearly irritated with “Mouth of the South” and his team. Mulkey’s are able to get the advantage against Idol and Bill Mulkey gets a two count after a clothesline. Idol is able to catch Randy Mulkey with a jumping knee smash and that is enough for the comeback win after 5 minutes. Winners: Valentine & Idol *
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper v. Johnny Rodz Referee: Morgan Dollar Rodz is able to jump Piper and get the advantage as soon as the bell sounds. Rodz scores a near fall after a back elbow smash. Piper has the fans behind him and he mounts a comeback and downs Rodz after 7 minutes with a SLEEPER. Winner: Piper* ½

Hawk and Animal then turn their attention to the their opponents tonight, hype each other up and head to the ring…
Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/Paul Ellering v. Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell) Referee: Morgan Dollar; Dollar continues to have a busy night and causes an uproar when he sends Ellering to the back before the bell. Animal and Hawk seem to recover from the pre-match events quickly and go to work on the Killer Bees. Hawk and Animal and not able to get their opponents in a position to win after Blair manages to kick out after a POWER SLAM from Animal. The Bees hang tough and manage to hit both Hawk & Animal with BEE STINGS. The Warriors battle back but the Bees unleash MASKED CONFUSION. Killer Bee #1 comes off the top with a deathjump cross body block for a two count on Animal. Another BEE STING brings in Hawk for the same but the Bees managed to toss Hawk to the floor, hit Animal with a KILLER DROPKICK and get the victory after 24 minutes of action. Mike Rotunda v. Ron Hutchison Referee: Morgan Dollar; Rotunda is clearly off his game and Hutchison is more than ready to take advantage. Hutchison scores a near fall with an O’Connor Roll and later rolls through a cross body block for a two and half count. Rotunda finally has an opening and back to back BUTTERFLY SUPLEXES ends it after six minutes. Winner: Rotunda **

The Crusher & Larry Hennig v. Vachons (Butcher Vachon & Mad Dog Vachon) Referee: Morgan Dollar: The Vachons appear to be ready to attack the referee with Mad Dog’s chain. The Vachons just keep that aggression going and target Larry Hennig. A QUADRUPLE FOOT STOMP nearly ends it. PILEDRIVER connects and that is it after 8 minutes. Winners: Vachons * ½
Iron Sheik v. Tom “Rocky” Stone Referee: Morgan Dollar; The fans were all over Sheik from the opening bell. Stone was able to inspire the fans with his offense and counter attack but each time he was in control, Sheik used a Loaded Boot each time to stop Stone cold and ramp up the heat from ringside. Sheik was eventually able to soften Stone up and use his CAMEL CLUTCH for the submission after 11 minutes. Winner: Sheik * ½
“Superstar” Bill Dundee v. Baron Von Raschke Referee: Morgan Dollar; Von Raschke pushes the attack early leading to a running knee smash for a two count. Dundee battles back and uses flying first drop and a jumping knee drop to pick up near falls before a SUPERSTAR BOMB ends it after 6 minutes. Winner: Dundee * ½
NWA Women’s Tag Team Champions Glamour Girls (Leilani Kai & Judy Martin) v. Nora Greenwald & Madison Rayne Referee: Morgan Dollar; Greenwald and Rayne really functioned well and took the fight to the champions early on. Greenwald hit Kai with a FLIPPING SEATED SENTON for a near fall. The champions showed their resilience and made things interesting but could never get Greenwald or Rayne in a position to go for the win. Rayne caught Kai with a RAYNE CHECK for a two and half count late in the match before the action spilled outside where Kai was disqualified for smashes Greenwald with the title belt after 20 minutes. Winners: Greenwald & Rayne by disqualification **
Dark Match: Canadian Heavyweight Champion Rick Rude, Greg Valentine & Austin Idol w/Jimmy Hart v. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper & Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/Paul Ellering Referee: Morgan Dollar; The fans were treated to Rude v. Piper right out of the gate and Rude managed to connect with a RUDE AWAKENING with Piper’s kick out rocking ringside. It was back and forth from that point with all six men seeing time in the ring. The Warriors looked to have the match won after a DOOMSDAY DEVICE to Valentine but Hart jumped onto the apron to keep the action going. Piper survived a LAS VEGAS LEGLOCK from Idol and later Animal nearly pinned Valentine with a POWER SLAM. The match ended the same way it started with Rude and Piper battling. This time Rude connected with his RUDE AWAKENING for the three count after 27 minutes. Winners: Rude, Valentine & Idol ****
