Shame Adonis/Shamrock didn't go longer. Nice to see the various undercarders in action.

Four outstanding shows in a row. Cool to see Frank Gotch back on top with the Canadian title. I also would love to see Adrian Adonis get a shot. That could be a fun match.
The Kangaroos vs. Chris Candido & Playboy Buddy Rose has been outstanding. The match in Oshawa was incredible. I also like Sputnik Monroe aligned with Candido and Rose against the Kangaroos and Wild Red Berry,

Card 15 Memorial Auditorium, Kitchener – November 22, 2022
Paul Ellering v. Mad Dog Vachon Referee: Morgan Dollar Vachon had some words for the official before the bell and gets under the skin of Morgan Dollar. The action was all Vachon as Mad Dog had a counter for everything that Ellering could try. Vachon landed a pair of Mad Dog Pounces and scored near falls after a gutbuster and a running knee lift before landing a gutbuster and getting the three count after about seven minutes of action. Winner: Vachon *
Long Riders (“Wild” Bill Irwin & Scott “Hog” Irwin) v. Marcus Alexander Bagwell & The Trooper Referee: Joey Marella The fans were solidly behind Bagwell and Trooper who showed some chemistry keeping Scott Irwin in the ring for a stretch which allowed Bagwell to hit his finisher YELLOWJACKET SUPLEX for a big near fall. Trooper and Bagwell continued to press the attack but Irwin was able to get a tag to “Wild” Bill who took over against Bagwell and connected with back to back FLOAT KICKS for the comeback victory after about eight minutes of action. Winners: Long Riders **
NWA International Champion Terry Gordy v. Hugh Morrus Referee: James Beard; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside This heavyweight battle started slow but soon had the fans roaring. Morrus turned in a spectacular performance dominating the action for long stretches. He woke up ringside with a two and half count after a power bomb that shook the ring. Morrus looked to have the title within his grasp when he landed NO LAUGHING MATTER not once, but back to back. Gordy kicked out at the last possible second with ringside exploding. Gordy rammed Morrus back first into the ring post to get back into the match. A back suplex scored a near fall and later an STF along lead to a submission. Morrus came back for more again and again with the fans backing each comeback. Gordy rammed Morrus into the post a second time late in the match busting Morrus open. Perhaps the blood loss made a difference as Gordy executed a simple, but devastating looking, back suplex for the victory after 25 minutes of intensity. Winner: Gordy. ****
NWA Canadian Heavyweight Champion Frank Gotch v. Adrian Adonis Referee: Morgan Dollar; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside Adonis started out strong but Gotch was able to execute an impressive superplex counter that stopped the challenger’s momentum. Gotch went to work with a crossface and bar arm and Iowabackdrop. Gotch locked in a reverse nelson and Adonis had no counter after just four minutes of action. Winner: Gotch. *
Brad Armstong & Ric McCord v. Doug Gilbert & “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert Referee: Morgan Dollar This encounter featured no tags at all as McCord took the battle to Doug Gilbert immediately and never let up. Gibert kicked out after flying dropkicks. A deathjump cross body brought “Hot Stuff” in the save but a pair of dropkicks from Armstrong send Eddie Gilbert to the floor and allowed McCord to go back to the top for a FLYING BODY PRESS for the win after just five minutes. Winner: Armstrong & McCord. *
Juventud Guerrera v. Buddy Rogers Referee: Dick Woehrle The Mexican high flyer had just too many weapons and overwhelmed the Nature Boy from the opening bell. Guerrera put Rogers to the mat twice for two counts after huracanranas and later connected with a deathjump cross body for another two count. Rogers was crushed by a 450 SPLASH and Guerrera had the win after five minutes in a bout that saw Rogers have zero offense. Winner: Guerrera *
WWF Women’s Champion Trish Stratus v. Madison Rayne Referee: Morgan Dollar; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside Some great back and forth action in this one as both competitors left it all in the ring. Rayne and Stratus took the fight to the floor several times. Lano was able to move in for a close up cover shot during one of the brawls. Rayne had her opportunities but could only get a two count after a diving spear. Stratus battled back hitting STRATUSFACTION for a near fall. Rayne proved tough to beat kicking out again after a Chick Kick. Later, Stratus took a chair from Rayne during a brawl on the floor and used the weapon. The action continued to go back and forth but Stratus retained after 21 minutes with a second STRATUSFACTION. Winner: Stratus. ****
Steel Cage Match – “Macho Man” Randy Savage v. Doctor X Referee: Dick Woehrle Savage attacked with no mercy as bell sounded. X went into the cage wall multiple times and Savage ground X’s mask into the steel ripping the material and the skin underneath. Savage picked up two near falls on his bloodied foe before X was able to counter a charge to the corner and then trapped Savage in the middle of the ring with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Savage almost reached the ropes but Destroyer used the cage wall for leverage and Woehrle counts “Macho-Man” shoulders to the mat after 11 minutes. Winner: X ** ½

Card 16 London Gardens, London, ON- November 23, 2022
ECW World Television Champion: Rob Van Dam (inj 2) w/Bill Alfonso v. Virgil Referee: Morgan Dollar Virgil was in nasty mood and had words for the referee which appeared to get under the skin of Morgan Dollar. Van Dam was clearly off a step while recovering from his injury at the hands of NWA Canadian Heavyweight Champion Frank Gotch and Virgil dominated most of the match. Virgil used several clothesline to down Van Dam and struck with his finisher RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP four times with Van Dam finding a way to kick out each time with the fans sitting on the edge of their seats. Van Dam was able to finally get a break and rebounded Virgil into the ropes with both men connecting with a clothesline on the rebound. Van Dam recovered first and struck with a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH for the comeback victory after ten minutes. Winner: Van Dam ** ½
The Crusher & Ilio DiPaolo v. Doug Gilbert & “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert Referee: Joey Marella Things did not go well for Doug Gilbert tonight as he found himself across the ring from the insanely popular Crusher to start this match off. A CRUSH NELSON nearly ended it before any tags were made in the match. DiPaolo kept the pressure on with a leg nelson and an AIRPLANE SPIN. Eddie Gilbert saved his brother and Crusher was soon back battering Doug Gilbert in and out of the ring. “Hot Stuff” made the save again after a CRUSHER BOLO but could not prolonged the match after Crusher used a CRUSHER NELSON to finish Doug Gilbert about ten minutes. Winner: Crusher & DiPaolo * ½
Sputnik Monroe v. Hugh Morrus Referee: Morgan Dollar It did not look like Morrus would last long early on in this one especially after Monroe planted his opponent with a piledriver but a power bomb stopped Monroe cold and turned the momentum of the match. A top rope elbow drop was on target but only resulted in a two count before Monroe caught Morrus going to the top of the corner and slammed him to the mat. Monroe’s advantage was short lived and soon Morrus was back in control with a running avalanche and spinebusters. Morrus hit NO LAUGHING MATTER and claimed the victory after about 8 minutes. Winner: Morrus ** ½ Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Fabulous Kangaroos (Al Costello & Roy Heffernan) w/ “Wild” Red Berry v. Long Riders (“Wild” Bill Irwin & Scott “Hog” Irwin) Referee: Morgan Dollar; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside The Kangaroos and Riders all have words with the referee and Morgan Dollar is not pleased with either team as he calls for the bell. “Wild” Bill has control against Costello early and the Kangaroos escapes to the floor. Irwin follows and it is a critical error as Costello gets the upper hand. Back in the ring, it is a BOOMERANG for Irwin but Scott Irwin makes the save. Heffernan followed with a STEPOVER TOEHOLD but Irwin again makes the save. Heffernan applied his submission finisher again and the Kangaroos retain after about seven minutes of action. Winners: Kangaroos * ½
Adrian Adonis v. Trooper Referee: Joey Marella Adonis took control of his larger opponent early on and before long he had Trooper trapped in GOODNIGHT IRENE. Trooper showed the fans something making the ropes and then escaping the hold twice more. Drawing on the cheers, Trooper bounced Adonis’s head off the ringside table and took over the match. An Alabama Slam rocked Adonis and a standing dropkick took the battle back to the floor. Adonis got the best of fight this time and then took the battle back outside where he cracked Trooper across the back with a chair. Marella called for the disqualification after about nine minutes of action. Winner: Trooper by disqualification. **
Brad Armstrong v. Juventud Guerrera Referee: Morgan Dollar This one did not like go long enough for the fans at ringside but the action was non stop from the opening handshake to the three count from Morgan Dollar after seven minutes. Guerrera was slightly faster then his opponent and he was able to capitalize with springboard dropkicks and huracanranas. Armstrong’s strength countered a tilt-a-whirl but he was not able to maintain control for too long. Once Guerrera regained control he went for the finish almost immediately hitting a 450 SPLASH for the three count. Winner: Guerrera **
Texas Death Match – “Macho Man” Randy Savage v. Doctor X Referee: James Beard This was a wild encounter that quickly left the ring and then the Gardens! Savage was rammed into the side of a vehicle in the parking lot and busted open. Savage came back and used a turnbuckle wrench to bloody X. Savage looked to have the match won after a FLYING ELBOW DROP but X managed kick out at the last second. Savage went back to the top but a low blow sent him crashing to the floor. Savage appeared to injury his leg in the tumble and X was all over him. Savage made the ropes to escape a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Savage then scored with a low blow of his own to counter another finisher attempt from X. It was back and forth with both men eating the rails on the floor. Back inside, X used the wrench on Savage’s knee and that was beginning of the end. Savage could not prevent a second FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and blacked out after 25 minutes of brutality. Winner: X *****
Non-Title Match – NWA Canadian Heavyweight Champion Frank Gotch v. NWA International Champion Terry Gordy Referee: Joey Marella; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside Gordy had the distinct size advantage but everyone is the same size on the mat and that is exactly where Gotch directed the early action. Gordy was able to survive a GOTCH TOE HOLD and a reverse nelson before his size proved a difference maker after his flattened Gotch with a lariat. Back suplex dopped Gotch on his neck and a POWER BOMB nearly broke him in half. Gotch kicked out and a BAMM BAMM SLAM followed for a two and three quarters count. Gordy flung Gotch into the corner but Gotch countered with double knee and then hit back to back Iowa backdrops for a near all. It was back and forth. Gordy scored with another lariat late but could not capitalized and Gotch was able to get the action to the mat and gain the submission with a GOTCH TOE HOLD after 15 minutes. Winner: Gotch. ****

London was the last appearance for the Macho Man. Unfortunate, but understandable... He did a phenomenal job of putting over Doctor X on his way out... OHHH, YEAH!

I hate to see Randy Savage go but he went out putting over Doctor X in two huge matches.
Frank Gotch really rolled through Adrian Adonis, which was unfortunate, but Terry Gordy gave him a stronger challenge. I'm looking at both Gordy and Juventud Guerrera as ones to watch based on recent performances.
