I asked both in person at a wrestling event in Seattle (Defy). Fatu was totally interested and cool about it as we talked some Seahawks and 49ers football, but Josef was right there and was a total jerk about it and made it very clear that they would need money........probably more money than justified for Indy wrestlers. Which is a shame. I get that's his character on MLW but it's a shame knowing he's like that in real life. Fatu on the other hand seems to be doing great since splitting from Contra and handling all his own bookings etc Who knows maybe 2023 will see Fatu get his own official card especially with all the work he's putting in at GCW

As much of a meme as overstaying his welcome in the opening match is, B-Boy has worked nearly everywhere that could book him for 20+ years
Agreed on Facade although seems he has always been on the periphery of the bigger Indy venues

He's still going strong and having good matches too. Another name I missed, Super Dragon. The man is essentially a PWG Legend lol

Super Dragon was a hard no hence why we never got a PWG set.

Super Dragon was a hard no hence why we never got a PWG set. That's disappointing. I don't get why wrestlers say no. If anything it's good exposure and another way of getting their name out there

Not saying this applies to FG at all but more generally "exposure" is a scam. Would you work for free just for "exposure"?

Super Dragon was a hard no hence why we never got a PWG set. Shame for us, but I could I see that. Obviously don’t know him but there were a few stories of SD turning down bigger media projects outside of PWG. He seems content with running the occasional small show for admission and dvd money

Ilja Dragunov is another I was hoping could of been signed when he was in the 2018 BoLA I talked to Ilja Dragunov about the game at BOLA 2018 (where there were some good singings that weekend in Bandido, PCO, and Jody Fleisch.) Ilja Dragunov was very polite and complimentary about the game but he told me (without telling me the specifics) that he could not sign at the time because he thought it would conflict with something he was currently working on. Again, he did not tell me what the conflict was but I have wondered if perhaps he was already in contact with the WWE as they announced his signing about 3 months later.

Excalibur (who I signed many years ago at PWG) told me he talked to Super Dragon about the game and, according to Excalibur, Super Dragon said no because he thought it would bring too much extra exposure. At the time, PWG was selling out the Legion Hall every show in less than a minute of tickets going on sale and live streaming shows was not an option as it would have limited who they could use for talent so exposure was not something PWG really needed.
