Phone hacked? Lost all my contacts

I think my phone got hacked as I lost all of my contacts and they were replaced with names that I do not know. So if I had your phone number, I no longer have it unless that list can get restored (I am going to Apple after work today.)

Also, if you get a weird message saying it is from me, it is not from me (not sure if whoever hacked my phone and took my Contacts list can send messages to my contacts using my name or not.)

it looks like it is now, Apple was able to restore my contacts

somebody earlier today told me my phone got hacked but Apple said it was an ICloud issue.

Yea sounds more like a tech issue. If not it was the worst hacker ever. They would either take the info without you knowing or they would take it and leave you with nothing as opposed to putting other info in. I am guessing some phones got their info swapped with another phone. One of the bad sides of something like the iCloud.
