Behind the curtain: I wasn’t happy how my belt became a hot potato for a while there. Hopefully Londos holds it for a while. I might only defend it one out of every three cards in year two unless I get a dirty finish. After using the Gorilla and The Brain card on 3 out of 4 segments for a year of shows, I’m pretty happy with it, although I started skipping the skits after a while and I’m thinking about having the segments after Gorilla lists the upcoming live events start already in progress. Maybe I’ll stick Mike Lano into the mix to replace the skits. I’m going to do a touch more booking ahead next year but only regarding arrivals and departures. I’m pretty content to let things happen spontaneously with Brain and Gorilla at the helm.
Lance Russell’s results on his interview card can be a little too drastic so I might go another way in year two. The Sheik having hometown advantage works pretty well since he’s the territory owner but didn’t terribly unbalance things. Billy Wicks went on a hot streak just as I was looking to phase him out. Lots of guys didn’t perform up to my expectations.
I’m committing to doing USA Wrestling and Championship Wrestling From KC until I do the joint Superbowl of Wrestling card. I don’t know of that’ll be after another year or six months. I’ll have to return to my LWF at some point.
