I'm a online player and most of the time, I'm playing Legends. But occassionally, I want to satisfy my GWF bug.
If I was wanted to redo my fed, which would be the best way to go online?
The original 2087 stats?
Or the reimagined 2087 cards?
Or are the stats the same?

Stats are the same, except for modifications to conform to current card-creation rules. And no more blank backs for the non-wrestling managers--everyone has a chart of some sort.

a couple wrestlers have improved with the legalizations including Commander Sam, Death Knight and Man-Mountain. Also for online, they fixed Lightning's Ring/Deathjump which was strangely wrong on the original physical card.

So just to piggyback on this, are you guys saying that the difference between buying 2087-2093 Original vs. 2097-2093 Reimagined (we're talking strictly COTGonline here) is more than just the art? I was under the impression that the original art was colorized and stats modernized, at least for the online versions or is that wrong? Trying to understand the differences myself so would appreciate some guidance.

Yes. The original version is still missing the deathjump. Got it. Thanks for the clarification. ..... Let me make it more confusing. The original is not "wrong" online. The way the card was written in the 1980s it didn't have a deathjump. Then official rules for cards changed where all need some way to use every chart (with a few exceptions over the years). The color 2087 card follows the current rules so it has the deathjump option. Either way , the color set is the way to go. |
