Excited to have booked my flights for mid-January to the west coast to see my new great-niece Penelope Sage Rios!

First, flying to Portland to meet Jerod (justme here on the board) for the first time after an untold number of years as online friends. That will be cool. Stay there for a day or so then up to Seattle to see family.

Flight to Portland: Jan. 14.
Flight back to Pittsburgh: Jan. 23

First part of my trip is done. It was great to see Jerod in person for the first time ever after a friendship that has lasted over 20 years. His family was more than welcoming of me. His eclectic group of friends were fun to meet. I taught the game to a couple people and played some matches. Jerod and I played the semis and finals of one of the tournaments from a fed of his.

Now I am in Seattle at my niece Terrace and her husband Jacob's house. My sister Nancy is here too. I got to meet my new baby great-niece Penelope and she is adorable!
