I don't post my results, but I'm going to run down the major events in my GWF fed from 2099 as well as a little history of the big events.
The year started with Alpha Force holding the Galaxian Title. He would lose it to the Matador of M83 in March. Wolf would win the title in September and hold it for 1 successful defense before losing it to Chaos in October. Raven would end the year with the title after winning it in November.
The Mercenaries started and ended the year the Galaxian Tag Team Titles. Titan Express would interrupt their title reign for 4 defenses from August to October. The Mercenaries have been dominant in my fed holding the titles for a total of 7 times for 690 days and a total of 36 successful defenses. The Greek Gods are the all time record holders for both categories having held the titles for 954 days and 40 defenses. They only had 1 title reign however it was from February of 2087 thru September of 2089.
The Interplanetary Title bounced around a little this year. Janus started with it but Raven took from him in January. Wolf would win it in March and hold it until Colossus won it in June. He would hold it until August when Spike would start the first of his two short reigns (well, the first one was short, the 2nd one is still to be determined). Vengeance would hold it from September to November before Spike ended the year with the title.
A little about my fed. I have the Cetus Cup singles tournament the 2nd week of July every year. The 2nd Saturday of August is the Filsinger Cup Tag Team Tournament (I know....cheesy....but I named this in my first run when I was 21 and used it in every re-boot I've done since then). My big event of the year is called Clash of the Titans and is held in September. The Aethran Brawl is the final event of my year, more about that later. I also have a year long, King of The Galaxy tournament, again, more on that later.
This year, the Matador of M83 won the Cetus Cup. Superiority Complex became the first 2 time winners of the Filsinger Cup, winning it for the 2nd consecutive year. Beginning in 2095, I have only allowed official tag teams to enter this tournament. Mayhem won the King of The Galaxy and the Mercenaries won the King of The Galaxy Tag Team championship. Killing Machine ended the year by beating Brute in a best 2 out of 3 final for the Aethran Brawl championship in a Cosmic Cage.
I'll explain the history of my King of The Galaxy tournaments. The past 2 years, I've had 2 singles groups with 16 wrestlers in each group. They wrestle each other to determine positions 1 thru 16 in each group. The two group winners face off in the final for the Championship. I also have the 2nd place wrestlers fight for 3rd place overall, and so on. I put the Tag Teams into 2 divisions of 8 teams. They wrestle each team twice during the year and the 15th "week" is a position round in each group. Again, the winners of each group battle for the championship and the rest on down like the singles. I've tried a couple of different setups over the years, but I think this is what I'm going to go with moving forward. I did divide both divisions into groups of 8 and then after 1 round, the top 2 from each group would move to the same group and the next 2, etc. Then they would go another round and then the top two from the top division would battle for the Championship. I didn't like that the two in the final could have already wrestled each other twice, and the number of wrestlers is starting to get out of hand, as you all know, so I decided to limit it to 32 singles and 16 tag teams.
The Aetheran Brawl is a blind draw tag team tournament where partners are drawn each round by the remaining guys. So, your partner in the first round will not be your partner in the 2nd round. Then the 2 winners of the last tag team match battle in a 2 out of 3, special match final. I used to allow everyone to enter the tournament, but starting this year, I limited it to 32 entrants. To determine the 32 entrants, I put in all the Gladiators (The Aetherans would riot if we didn't include all their guys!), then any former winner of the Brawl that is still active. Then all Champions that held a title during this calendar year are added. The final spots are filled by qualifying matches held in the cards leading up to the Brawl.
Star Warrior and Chaos are both 3 time winners of the Cetus Cup with nobody else winning more that once. Superiority Complex is the only team to win twice, but Star Warrior has won 3 times with different partners each time. Incredible Badger has 2 titles with different partners.
For my Wrestler of the Year award, Thantos has won it twice, Star Warrior 3 times and Chaos has won 4 times. The Tag Team of the Year saw the Greek Gods win the first 3. Then the Ani-Men dominated for 4 years with Animal Pack winning twice with 2 awards for the Beasts of Burden sandwiched between their two awards. The Mercenaries have won it twice and the Game Masters picked up 2 awards.
I think that about sums things up, so now to get ready to start 2100. I'll leave another update when I finish it.
