Dr. X (44) v. Ilio DiPaolo (53) Dick Woehrle calls for the bell and DiPaolo takes control. Fans love the rope climb headlock takeovers and big right hands. Leg nelson. X counters and uses a full nelson. X control with forearms and headlocks. Leg drop misses. Leg scissors and cross arm sleeper slow it down. Big right hands drops X. Rolling short arm scissors ties of X. X bails after big right hands. X shoves Dr. Mike Lano into DiPaolo. HEAT! Deathjump smash to leg! FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. DiPaolo rolls X over (R9/P5). DiPaolo to the mat with a headlock takeover. Forearms and slams. Forearm smashes. X presses 1, 2, 3 (R2/P4). βRowdyβ Roddy Piper (5) v. Sgt. Slaughter (28) The fans appear to be split for this one as Morgan Dollar calls for the bell. Piper reverses a whip and Slaughter goes hard against the buckles and into a clothesline. Piper applies a figure four leglock and then resorts to biting. Slaughter comes back with slams, gut buster and throat drop on the ropes. Kicks with military boots. Piper bites. Bulldog. Slaughter bails! Back in the ring, Piper to the top . . . dives. Slaughter catches him . . . backbreaker drop. 1, (R7/P2). To the floor . . . tables turn, people flee. Slaughter with a smash from the top. COBRA CLUTCH. Piper is out (R2/P6).

Lou Thesz (2) v. Magnum TA (31)
Morgan Dollar has strict instructions for both competitors who shakes hands before the bell. Allen with a firemanβs carry but a press slam does not work and Thesz dumps Allen to the mat with an airplane spin. THESZ PRESS 1, 2, ΒΎ (R5/P4). Thesz is all over Allen but Magnum counters a double leg pick up with arm drag which Thesz counters and lands a shot to the ribs. Allen grabs a side headlock and it leads to a pair of back drops. Allen has something going with jabs and a leg drop. Running forearm lands. More backdrops but Thesz counters one with a rolling short arm scissors but Allen quick counters that with his own arm wringer. Back and forth. Side headlock leads to a running forearm from Allen. Allen with an abdominal stretch. Thesz ducks dropkicks and executes a countering GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP. 1, 2, SHOULDER UP (R4/P3). THESZ PRESS and that is it (R5/P6). Killer Kowalski (18) gets a Bye
Not too surprising of an outcome.
Up next . . .

Jack and I feel a Muldoon upset here.

Looks like Magnum offered some resistance, but once Thesz starts building up momentum, it's very difficult to turn things around.
Jack should go over against Pat, but I'm looking forward to a fun encounter... Muldoon has the endurance to make him work for it, but I think Windham's offense is too strong to lose this one.
