Playing future matches, match after match I rolled on referee hurt chart. All times ended with out comes a new referee. A small federation how many referees would they have? You can't end a show with no more referees, could you?

I never thought about it before. Maybe # referees = (# matches divided by two) plus one? That way, each ref gets two matches plus you have one backup.
Also, I only do one ref bump per card maximum. If I don't do the ref bump, the guy on defense takes over and the guy on offense rolls his PIN.

Depends on how crazy you want things to be. You could have two and if both are knocked out you could have a wrestler, the GM or even a hot dog vendor come out with a striped shirt.

Are we due for a new set of charts, perhaps ones that make it harder for the hurt referee thing to come into play?

If you want things adjusted, you could change the rolls to more fit what you want. I do that time to time with different things in the card. Like if I want to push a wrestler more and his Level 2 Offense roll of 4 says the opponent should roll on Defense 2 I will make it a roll on Defense 3 move. So, for hurt referee you could make it you have to roll it twice for it to happen. Much like rolling twice for a DQ.

I never thought about this, but you could always use another wrestler as a guest referee. Imagine the reaction when a wrestler runs to the ring wearing a striped shirt!

Are we due for a new set of charts, perhaps ones that make it harder for the hurt referee thing to come into play? When the Hurt Referee instruction is rolled, I add both wrestlers tokens and roll 2 dice. IF the same or lower, the ref goes down. For the Deathjump instruction, if the roll is higher I substitute "the opponent climbs to the top, but you hit the ropes and he falls to the floor. OPPONENT ADDS 1 TO HIS PIN RATING AND ROLLS OUT OF THE RING. * In Cage matches, use down - 3" For the Turnbuckle instruction, if the roll is higher I substitute "You bounce off the turnbuckle into an incredible clothesline, powerslam, belly-to-belly, bulldog etc. OPPONENT ROLLS ON LEVEL 3 OFFENSE." I do it this way to prevent ref bumps from happening too often and also too early in matches. Works for me.

When Joe Schmoe (or whomever) is the referee and 2 is rolled on any chart, roll on this hurt referee chart. Maybe I'm old school but the ref bump should only happen in the main event or at the very least, the second half of the card.

Definitely a cool idea there, Slymm. I've had refs get knocked out while knocked out and I've never liked that.
