Too Cool was disqualified when Scotty 2 Hotty shoved referee Dick Woehrle.



Bobo Brazil defeated Val Venis by pin

Venis landed an early Money Shot before succumbing to a big Coco Butt from Brazil.



King Kong Bundy (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated B. Brian Blair by pin

A Bundy knee drop ended the night for Blair.



Molly Holly defeated Chyna (with The New Age Outlaws) by disqualification

Chyna was DQ'd for power bombing Holly through the announcers' table.



"Jumping" Jim Brunzell defeated Big John Studd (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) by disqualification

In a wild back-and-forth affair, Brunzell (3 tokens) earned the victory after Studd (5 tokens) lost his temper and tossed referee Joey Marella from the ring when Brunzell kicked out after a big body slam. Studd and Heenan then proceeded to stomp a mudhole in Jumping Jim before exiting to the jeers of the crowd.



The Dream Team (with Johnny V) defeated The Road Warriors (with Paul Ellering) by disqualification

The Legion of Doom were DQ'd after Hawk vertical suplexed Greg "The Hammer" Valentine onto the ringside barricade.



Hillbilly Jim defeated "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff (with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper & Cowboy Bob Orton, Jr.) by disqualfication

Piper and Orton interjected themselves into the match one time too many and got Mr. Wonderful (4 tokens) disqualified during what turned into a 3-on-1 beatdown of Jim (3 tokens) on the arena floor.



Tag Team Championship -- The Midnight Express (with Jim Cornette) defeated The Miracle Violence Connection (c) by disqualification

In nearly a carbon copy of their first encounter two weeks ago, The Miracle Violence Connection retained the gold by intentionally getting themselves disqualified when things weren't going their way; this time "Dr. Death" Steve Williams refused to leave the ring after breaking up "Loverboy" Dennis Condrey's pin attempt on a battered Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy (6 tokens).



After the match, an exasperated Solie apologized to the Louisville crowd for the poor sportsmanship and blatant disregard for the rules displayed by just about everyone on tonight's card.

Yeah, I knew there were a lot when the card was happening, but I didn't realize it was that many until I typed up the results. It ended up like a mid-70s WWWF show at the Spectrum since we rarely got any blowoff matches there with them saving the clean finishes for the Garden a week or two later.

With the NFL season starting this week, my work schedule is going to be crazy until January, so I may have to put the fed on semi-hiatus after tomorrow night's Labor Day card (at best, I'll have to scale back to one card a week, but it may have to be one per month). I'll view it as fan displeasure with the current state of the in-ring product with the accompanying poor ticket sales and ratings as the reasoning. I'll definitely be testing out some version of the warning system you've been using to cut down on the DQs, though I don't hate them in Championship matches.

Snow finished off Rodz with a seated spinebuster.



Ivan Koloff (with Captain Lou Albano) defeated Fit Finlay by submission

After some back-and-forth exchanges, Koloff caught Finlay in his Bear Hug.



Debbie Malenko defeated Melina by submission

Malenko unleashed her full arsenal of submission moves before Melina finally tapped out to an STF.



The British Bulldogs defeated The Brisco Brothers by pin

In their most impressive performance since capturing the Tag Team titles, The British Bulldogs decimated the Briscos with the Dynamite Kid covering Jack after a Tower of London.



"Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig defeatdd The Sandman by disqualification

The Sandman was DQ'd after delivering a couple of blows to Hennig's back with his trusty Singapore Cane.



"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan defeated "Ravishing" Rick Rude (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) by pin

Duggan kicked out of multiple Rude Awakenings and then stunned the Ravishing One with a Tough Guy Clothesline for the 3-count, but the Heenan Family got the last laugh when King Kong Bundy and Big John Studd hit the ring and along with Rude, administered a savage 3-on-1 beatdown with The Brain's guidance.



Sensational Sherri defeated Trish Stratus by pin

Sherri never gave Stratus a chance to establish any offense of her own before scoring the fall with a top rope splash.


King Harley Race (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated Sam Houston by pin

Race stopped Houston with a Top Rope Diving Headbutt.



Bob Backlund (with Arnold Skaaland) defeated "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff (with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper & Cowboy Bob Orton, Jr.) by pin

Skaaland's intense training regimen had Backlund ready for Mr. Wonderful's jumping piledriver, enabling him to survive an early application, before seizing control of the action and earning the victory with a flying crossbody block.



World Championship -- The Magnificent Muraco (with Mr. Fuji) (c) defeated "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal by countout

Muraco had little difficulty in his first defense, retaining the belt after Regal failed to beat the 10-count when he rolled out of the ring following a throat drop on the top rope.

Very cool that Mr Skaaland's tutelage is paying dividends, helping his pupil score a major victory... Gotta think Mr Backlund has his eyes firmly fixed on the prize.

Enjoyed the display of dominance by Sensational Sherri... And a Bulldogs vs. Briscos rematch almost seems to be a necessity at this point... Hard to believe that encounter was so one-sided.

Combs stopped Black with a snap mare and double leg cradle.



"Wildfire" Tommy Rich defeated George "The Animal" Steele (with The J.O.B. Squad) by pin

Rich rolled over The Animal, ending the match with a vertical suplex.



Rockin' Robin defeated Princess Victoria by pin

Victoria controlled much of the early action before Robin rebounded and scored the fall following a bulldog.



The Love Brothers defeated The New Age Outlaws (with Chyna) by disqualification

The Loves were declared victorious after Chyna low-blowed "Rotten" Reginald and The New Age Outlaws were DQ'd.



Luna Vachon defeated Jacqueline by pin

Vachon ended Jacqueline's night with back-to-back Top Rope Splashes.



Hillbilly Jim defeated Cowboy Bob Orton, Jr. (with Roddy Piper & "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff) by disqualification

Jim should really know better by now (9 of his 11 DCWF wins are by DQ) as this was another pyrrhic victory as he was awarded the "W" after Cowboy Bob Orton, Jr. blasted him with his cast and then was joined in the ring by Mr. Wonderful and "Rowdy" Roddy for a brutal 3-on-1 beatdown of the big Hillbilly until Mikey Whipwreck rushed down to make the save.



The Iron Sheik (with "Classy" Freddie Blassie) defeated Magnum T.A. by submission

The Sheik wasted no time, forcing Magnum to tap out to The Camel Clutch in the opening minute.



"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant (with Captain Lou Albano) defeated Sgt. Slaughter by disqualification

Slaughter was DQ'd after leveling both Valiant and Captain Lou with a steel chair.



Mikey Whipwreck defeated "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (with "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff & Cowboy Bob Orton, Jr.) by disqualification

Whipwreck paid for his earlier interference as Piper busted him open with a foreign object and then orchestrated another group beatdown of his hapless foe.



"Macho Man" Randy Savage defeated "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert by pin

Savage battered Gilbert from pillar-to-post before ending the match with a neckbreaker clothesline.



The Rock 'n' Roll Express defeated Tony Garea & Larry Zbyszko by pin

The Rock 'n' Roll Express emerged victorious in a highly entertaining back-and-forth match with Robert Gibson put down Zbyszko with an enziguiri.



"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock vs "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka ended in a double disqualification

Snuka was laying a hurting on Shamrock before the action spilled out of the ring and the two men brawled into the crowd as referee James Beard called for the bell.

After surviving a World's Strongest Slam, Van Dam stopped Henry with a Five-Star Frog Splash.



Melina defeated Leilani Kai (with "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart & Judy Martin) by countout

Kai survived several close calls before Melina busted her open with Hart's megaphone. Martin then got into a shouting match with Melina while "The Mouth of the South" decided it was better to fight another day and escorted his charge back to the dressing room, ignoring the ref's count.



The Dream Team (with Johnny V) defeated The Road Warriors (with Paul Ellering) by disqualification

This hard hitting affair ended when referee Joey Marella called for the bell after he decided he'd seen enough when Animal powerbombed Johnny V through the Spanish announcers' table while all six men were brawling on the arena floor.



Big John Studd (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated Bobo Brazil by submission

Brazil had things going his way until he knocked himself out crashing into the turnbuckle, allowing Studd to hoist him into the Backbreaker. Postmatch, "Ravishing" Rick Rude hit the ring and administered a Rude Awakening on Brazil.



Kurt Angle defeated Koko B. Ware by pin

Angle pinned Ware following a series of German suplexes.



King Kong Bundy (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated Val Venis by pin

Bundy got a 5-count after crushing Venis with an Atlantic City Avalanche.



TV Championship -- "The Franchise" Shane Douglas (with "Head Cheerleader" Francine, Chris Candido & Mr. Hughes) (c) defeated Jake "The Milkman" Milliman by pin
Milliman earned the title shot when he upset Doctor X a few weeks ago, but couldn't capitalize on his newfound main-event status as The Franchise spoiled The Milkman's night with a belly-to-belly suplex to successfully defend his title for the 18th time.



Tag Team Championship (No Disqualification) -- The Midnight Express (with Jim Cornette) defeated The Miracle Violence Connection (c) by pin

The Miracle Violence Connection retained their belts with dubious disqualifications in their first two meetings with The Midnight Express, but Cornette's wily negotiating made this return encounter a No Disqualification contest and his boys didn't waste the opportunity. After a Rocket Launcher on Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy and cover by "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton, we have NEW DCWF Tag Team Champions.

Houston pinned Rodz following a cross-body block.

Snow had Rude in all kinds of trouble after a pair of Snow Plows and then the entire Heenan Family stormed the ring and a wild Pier Sixer broke out, highlighted by Steele flattening Heenan with Head before King Kong Bundy squashed him with an Atlantic City Avalanche.



Masa Saito (with Captain Lou Albano) defeated Frogman Leblanc by pin

Saito ended Leblanc's night with a Saito Suplex.



Chyna (with The New Age Outlaws) defeated Molly Holly by pin

Chyna decimated Holly with a Power Bomb.

Regal tapped out to a Doctor X Standing Surfboard.
