It would be very cool to see the U.S. Express challenge the MVC for the belts... That being said, I think most teams(Slaughter & Kernodle included) are going to need to have luck on their side to stop Dr Death & Bamm Bamm - still one of the most effective pairings in the game, imo.
Nice effort by J-Lynn against the current champ... Backlund is a machine and at this point, I cannot even imagine what it will take to get that belt off him.

I'm hoping the MVC have a long reign with the belts. I was pulling for Jerry against Backlund but it wasn't in the cards. I think Jerry will earn another title shot one of these days, though.

LWF Legacy of Gold 4.31 Ventura and Solie welcome the fans to the show and plug the main event of the Miracle Violence Connection defending the gold against Sgt Slaughter & Don Kernodle. Solie leaves the booth to get a word with Brian Blair before the first match. Blair says Jim Brunzell had some family business to attend to back in Minnesota so he’d be wrestling single for a while. One Man Gang barrels into Blair and hits the face first suplex. Solie rushes back to the booth as the timekeeper rings the bell.
1. Brian Blair vs. One Man Gang One Man Gang manhandles Blair but makes no attempt to pin him. Ventura reminds the fans that Blair was on a hot streak long enough last year to get a shot at Bob Backlund and the LWF World Heavyweight title. Blair makes a comeback and nails Gang with a flying forearm smash for a two count. Blair locks on the Cobra Clutch and Gang taps out.
Winner - Brian Blair by pinfall
Solie puts over Blair and Ventura introduces the next match.
2. Pepper Gomez vs. Manny Fernandez Gomez quickly takes Fernandez to the mat and hits the Mexican Cradle for a two count. Fernandez and Gomez battle back and forth. Gomez wears Fernandez down with the airplane spin. Gomez hits the Mexican Leap for a near fall. Fernandez makes a comeback and hits a scoop slam for a two count. Gomez turns things around and hits the Mexican Cradle for the win.

Solie puts over Pepper Gomez and says Gomez might be in line for another shot at the LWF World Heavyweight title soon. Ventura introduces the next match.
3. Kurt Angle vs. Curt Hennig Hennig and Angle battle back and forth. Hennig focuses on Angle’s neck, hitting three rolling neck snaps. Hennig hits the Hennig Plex for the win.

Hennig snatches the mic from the announcer and challenges Bob Backlund to a LWF World Heavyweight title match! Ventura says this is a huge win for Hennig since Angle is a multi-type World Heavyweight Champion and has even beaten Big Van Vader. Solie agrees and introduces the main event.
4. Miracle Violence Connection vs. Slaughter & Kernodle - LWF World Tag Team titles Williams and Slaughter start the match. The match quickly spills out of the ring. Williams slams Slaughter into the guard rail and manhandles him back into the ring. Williams scoops up Slaughter and hits the Oklahoma Stampede but Kernodle makes the save. Williams tags in Gordy. Gordy power bombs Slaughter and Williams holds off Kernodle while the referee makes the three count.
Winners - Miracle Violence Connection, their second title defense
Ventura and Solie sign off, telling the fans to tune in next week for a rematch between the US Express and the Blond Bombers, as well as the main event of Rick Rude vs. Jerry Lynn.

LWF Legacy of Gold 4.32 Ventura and Solie welcome the fans to the show and plug the main event of Rick Rude vs. Jerry Lynn plus a rematch between the US Express and the Blond Bombers. Solie announces that Bob Backlund will defend the LWF World Heavyweight title against Curt Hennig on Legacy of Gold 4.34. Solie leaves the booth to get a word with Nick Bockwinkel before the first match.
Bockwinkel says that he’s going for the gold like everyone else. The difference is that he is going to win it because the Bockwinkel Sleeper is the best finisher in the business and he is the best wrestler. Bockwinkel tells Solie to go back to the booth and takes his corner.
1. Nick Bockwinkel vs. Henry Irslinger Bockwinkel drops Irslinger with a back suplex and locks on the figure four. Irslinger fights his way to the ropes. Bockwinkel hits a back suplex for a two count and locks on the abdominal stretch. Irslinger refuses to submit and hobbles to the ropes. Bockwinkel hits a knee smash to the back for a two count and locks on the Bockwinkel sleeper. Irslinger taps out.
Winner - Nick Bockwinkel by submission
Ventura says Bockwinkel may just be as good as he thinks he is. Solie scoffs and introduces the next match.
2. Angleo Mosca vs. Disco Inferno Mosca clobbers Disco while he is dancing. Disco turns things around and hits a swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Disco hits the Last Dance for the win.
Winner - Disco Inferno by pinfall
Ventura says Mosca is probably thinking of retiring after that. Solie introduces the next match.
3. US Express vs. Blond Bombers Windham and Stevens start the match. Windham dominates Stevens early on. Stevens absorbs some punishment and hits a double underhook suplex for a two count. Stevens hits the bombs away for a two count and tags in Patterson. Patterson hits the Bombs Away and Stevens takes out Rotundo as the referee makes the three count.
Winners - The Blond Bombers by pinfall
Ventura says the Blond Bombers are on a fast track back to the top. Solie introduces the main event.
4. Rick Rude vs. Jerry Lynn Rude takes control early on and hits a backbreaker for a two count. Rude and Lynn battle on the outside. Lynn comes out on top and hits the cradle piledriver for the win.
Winner - Jerry Lynn by pinfall
Ventura and Solie sign off, saying to tune in next time when Blackjack Mulligan and Jim Londos lock up in the main event.

1. Gorilla Monsoon vs. David Taylor Gorilla and Taylor battle back and forth. Gorilla gets some momentum going and hits the Manchurian Landslide for the win.

2. Dan Severn vs. Manny Fernandez Severn dominates Fernandez early on. Fernandez gets some momentum going and Severn shuts him down with an armbar. Fernandez escapes the hold. Severn locks on the choke sleeper and Fernandez taps out.

Solie and Ventura put over Dan Severn but wonders if he has what it takes to rise to the top. Ventura introduces the main event.
3. Tommy Rich & Thunderbolt Patterson vs. The Mulkeys The Mulkeys try hitting Thunderbolt with the double clothesline at the opening bell but Thunderbolt ducks and clotheslines both of them. Thunderbolt hits an uppercut on Randy and tags in Rich. Rich hits the Thesz Press for the win.

Solie leaves the booth to get a word with Rich & Patterson. Rich & Patterson say they’re dedicated to showing the bad guys in the LWF a taste of their own medicine. Ventura isn’t impressed and doubts Tommy Rich can stay on the straight and narrow. Solie introduces the main event.
4. Blackjack Mulligan vs. Jim Londos Mulligan and Londos grapple back and forth in the opening minutes. Londos gets some momentum going and hits the crotch lift and slam. He covers Mulligan for a two count. Londos locks on the Boston Crab but Mulligan fights his way to the ropes. Londos hoists Mulligan up in the Airplane Spin but can’t get the big Texan to submit. Londos drops Mulligan in teh middle of the ring and locks on the standing toehold. Mulligan fights his way to the ropes. Londos hits the fireman’s carry slam and locks on the short-arm scissors. Mulligan is in agony but drags Londos to the ropes to break the hold. Londos hits another crotch lift and slam. Mulligan tries making a comeback but Londos cuts him off and hits another crotch lift and slam. Londos hits another fireman’s carry slam and clamps on the short-arm scissors. Mulligan taps out.

Ventura says Londos is moving up. Solie signs off, inviting the fans to tune in next time for Bob Backlund vs. Curt Hennig for the LWF World Heavyweight title.

Riggs hits the Five Arm for a two count. The American Males hit the Double Dropkick and Bagwell covers Mad Dog. Butcher Vachon and Riggs get to a brawl. While the referee’s back is turned, Mad Dog hits a low blow and covers Bagwell for a two count. Mad Dog hits a piledriver and tags in Butcher. The Vachons hit the Quadruple Foot Stomp but Riggs makes the save. Mad Dog hits a piledriver for the win.

Ventura says the Vachons are a tough team and might be able to go toe to toe with the Miracle Violence Connection. Solie leaves the booth to get a word with Dutch Mantell before the next match. Dutch says Eddie Gilbert quit the LWF because he couldn’t beat Pepper Gomez. Dutch says if he can’t beat Pepper Gomez, he’ll think about quitting too.
3. Pepper Gomez vs. Dutch Mantell Dutch goes on the warpath and hits a jumping knee drop for a two count. Dutch hits an atomic drop for a two count. Gomez makes a comeback and hits a windup punch to the stomach for a two count. Gomez wears Dutch down with an airplane spin and locks on the stomach claw. Dutch fights his way to the ropes. 4. Bob Backlund vs. Curt Hennig - LWF World Heavyweight title match Hennig takes control at the opening bell. Hennig works Backlund over and hits a running knee lift for a two count. Backlund mounts a comeback but Hennig shuts him down and hits a standing dropkick for a two count. Backlund and Hennig battle back and forth. Backlund takes Hennig down and locks on the Boston Crab. Hennig fights his way to the ropes. The match spills out of the ring and things get heated. Backlund suplexes Hennig on a chair and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner - Curt Hennig by DQ. Backlund retains the title, his 25th title defense
Ventura and Solie sign off, telling the fans to tune in next time when Jerry Lynn takes on Jim Londos in the main event to determine the #1 contender to the LWF World Heavyweight title.
