-Barry Windham has vowed to run Jimmu Hart out of professional wrestling after his antics last week with his megaphone allowed for a returning Larry Zybysko to pick up the win over Barry. It will be Barry Windham vs Larry Zybysko with Jimmy Hart at ringside, what does Barry Windham have in mind for Jimmy Hart? Does Jimmy Hart and his First Family have an answer for Windhams threat?
-After earning a United States Championship title match opportunity in an upset against Sgt. Slaughter, Shane Douglas came back a second time and erased any notions of a fluke victory. Now the new United States Champion will face his first challenger, Antonio Inoki!
- The New Age Outlaws look to dethrone newly crowned World Tag Team Champions, the Midnight Express. Will the Outlaws become two time champions?
- Pat Patterson's open contract for the Intercontinental Championship has been signed, and it will be Big John Studd vs Pat Patterson in Greensboro!
- Mark Henry asked for a match with the World Heavyweight Champion, Lou Thesz and the request was granted. However, it will be non title! Thesz of course, agreed to defend the championship against Henry at a later date should he be victorious.

I lost track of updating the results, so allow for a TL;DR explanation of events from show #33 to current times...
In the lower card, we've seen a revolving door of amazing talent, but such is the depth of competition here in wwPWA, it's win or go home week in and week out. Earning a seat at the table has never been more difficult and with fewer singles championships available in the coming year, only time will tell who breaks through.
Big John Studd would come along to end the record-breaking IC title reign of Pat Patterson. Many believed Studd would lead into his epic title reign but he was quickly dethroned for the championship by Barry Windham. Windham, while interviewing with Gordon Solie said that while he was glad to be the Intercontinental Champion, it was the United States championship that he really wanted to take home for, for the state of Texas, and America. Commissioner Teddy Long made a unification match official, and after a hard-fought battle, Antonio Inoki unified the United States and Intercontinental Championships, choosing to recognize the United States Championship going forward. Inoki would hold the championship until our final show of the year where he lost it to Roddy Piper.
Antonio Inoki's next challenger would be decided in an eight-man round-robin tournament which was later won by Stan Hansen. Antonio Inokie successfully fended off the challenge of Stan Hansen and has remained the United States Champion since the unification with Barry Windham.
The Tag Team division has been dominated by a back-and-forth between the New Age Outlaws and The Midnight Express. This wild feud came to an end in December with the Midnight reclaiming their World Tag Team titles in one of the wildest bouts in the history of the wwPWA.
The World Heavyweight Champion Lou Thesz has defended his title successfully all year, however in his most recent defense against Magnum T.A., not only were fans convinced that T.A. was to going to win, but Lou Thesz's long-time rival and current number one contender involved, securing Thesz the victory and himself a title shot.
Going into our next major show, Antonio Inoki will challenge Magnum T.A. to become the new number-one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship! Also, Abdullah the Butcher will finally take advantage of his World Heavyweight Title shot when he faces Lou Thesz in a lumberjack match! "Rowdy" Roddy Piper looks to defend his newly won U.S. Championship against the returning, Vader! The Midnight Express and Jim Cornette have an open challenge for any team in the back and are willing to defend their Tag Team Championships against anyone but the New Age Outlaws.
