I like Glory Days Boxing, and I'm not even a boxing fan at all! It's a good game. There's a thread in the other games forum about it. They just came out with Glory Days College Football.

Title Bout is the granddaddy of tabletop boxing games. I've probably spent as many hours or more happily playing TB and TB2 as I have playing Legends.

When Stu mentioned "Rocky and his Friends," all I could think of was a flying squirrel and a moose with boxing gloves.

This was a really fun overview of what's out there for tabletop boxing games, gentlemen... I used to play APBA baseball (many, many years ago) and I got into Microsoft baseball on the computer for a little while... I often think about diving back into some other sports simulation game, but then I realize I would prefer to spend that time playing my FG feds.
And thanks for plugging my upcoming Toppling Goliath Street between Malice and Mance Warner for the IPW Badlands Hardcore Championship. The mighty will fall, brothers!

Fun episode. Not a huge boxing fan but enjoyed hearing about other games. Tim, YouTube is often a great place to see games both old and new played to get a feel for them. Boardgamegeek.com as well.

Ok my big question that Im dieing to know the answering to for decades.... is the Rocky Action Strategy Boxing Game any fun? If you're looking for realistic simulations (of unrealistic movie boxing matches), it's not great. Also, having only four choices of boxers is limiting (where the hell is Dipper Brown?). However, I do like the way it plays. The fighter's cards make sense - Creed has the best defense, Clubber and Drago have the most devastating punches. Would be a good option for family/friends since it doesn't take a lot of time to figure out and it plays quickly. So far, I've done two mini-tournaments with Apollo winning the first and Rocky the second. It's a fun, straightforward game for what it is. Legends of Boxing has freebie Rocky cards for the big 4 on the ASG website. That game will give you a better simulation and "movie feel" if that's what you're looking for. I'm guessing a bunch of the Rocky guys will be in the upcoming fictional set for Glory Days Boxing when Anthony gets around to working on it.
