The destructive effects of the Snap began to be apparent moments after Thanos activated the Infinity Gauntlet, with half of all life in the universe randomly disintegrating into dust. All types of life forms perished in the Snap, including the bacteria in the bodies of the Snap survivors.
On Earth, there were at least 3,797,000,000 humans confirmed deceased or missing worldwide, according to a statistical report issued by the United Nations in conjunction with the World Bank. According to a computer display at the Avengers Compound which depicted multiple worldwide censuses, an average of 57.5% of the human population survived.
World governments are in pieces. The parts that are still working are trying to take a census. And it looks like he did... He did exactly what he said he was gonna do. Thanos wiped out... fifty percent of all living creatures.
The majority of world governments were in a state of chaos because half of the world's population had disappeared. Over the course of time the victims of the Snap would come to be known as the Vanished, with memorial sites erected in their honor in every city in the world.
The world of professional wrestling took its hit like everyone else. So many of the greats are gone. Jimmy Snuka, Randy Savage. The new world heavyweight champion Shane Douglas. The Road Warriors. World tag team champions the Valiant Brothers. Big Van Vader. Antonio Inoki. Buddy Rogers. It's a very long list.
What will happen to the sport of pro wrestling? Will it return in some shape or form?

One year has passed since The Snap. The world is still recovering. As everyone tries to figure out what the new normal is, the first wrestling organization is formed.
Roy Shire is set to open Pacific Coast Championship Wrestling, based in San Francisco, CA. Shire and his backers are finally able to get professional wrestling off the ground, with an eye on the future. The promotion's name allows for growth to the rest of California, Oregon, and Washington, when the time is right. There is also word of possible other companies getting started across the USA, as well as in other countries.
Big Time Wrestling will air on KTVU Friday nights. Walt Harris will be the show's host. PCCW is scheduled to debut Jan. 16, 2122 from The Cow Palace.

It's been several months since professional wrestling rebooted with Pacific Coast Championship Wrestling based in San Francisco, CA. The promotion is doing well, running monthly shows and drawing good attendance. The fed is set for a 16-man tournament to determine the first heavyweight champion.
Now another company is set to begin running shows. This one is setting up on the East Coast, specifically the northeast region.
The man behind this new promotion -- Northeast Wrestling Federation -- is Toots Mondt. He is bringing to the ring something he calls "Slam Bang" wrestling style. He promises lots of action, not necessarily all of it taking place in the ring.
The NWF's home is New York City. They will eventually expand throughout the Northeast.
