1. Amasis +0 [EGYPTIAN CONNIPTION] vs. Brodie Lee +3 - 3:46
- Brodie Lee had no regard for the smaller Amasis and he will now forever go down as the first wrestler to be pinned in CZW! Lee pushed Amasis around in the early goings of the match but Amasis caught the leg of Lee and dropped him hard with a reverse leg sweep. Amasis followed up with the Egyptian Conniption! Lee managed to kick out of the move but Amasis just spammed his finisher until Lee finally stayed down for the three!
- Before the next match we caught up with The Briscoe Brothers in the back getting ready for their match. Icarus approached them, hands raised in a show of peace:
“Woah, woah guys, settle down, I’m just here to talk. I know we’ve had our differences in the past, it seems like you guys follow me everywhere, it’s a little weird actually, but that’s not why I’m here. As a peace offering I wanted to let you know that I spoke with the owner of CZW, DJ Hyde, who is a close personal friend of mine, and I got you both spots in the Tournament of Death this weekend! I’m sure you both know that the winner of the tournament will be crowned the inaugural CZW World Heavyweight Champion. What an opportunity! Here’s the thing though, the only way DJ could squeeze you guys in is if you face each other in the first round. So really only one of you has a shot at making history. Anyway, keep that in mind, I’ll see you out there!” The Briscoes rolled their eyes and scoffed as Icarus walked away. 2. The Briscoes {0} (Mark Briscoe +3 & Jay Briscoe +0 [JAY DRILLER]) vs. F.I.S.T. {2} (Chuck Taylor +0 & Icarus +5 [X]) - 10:58
- Icarus’ efforts to get into the heads of the Briscoes proved fruitless as the boys from Sandy Fork did what they always do, dominate the tag division. Icarus and Taylor were able to isolate Mark Briscoe in the early goings of the match but the younger Briscoe survived the onslaught and made the tag to his brother. Once Jay got in the ring it was basically all over for F.I.S.T. After a series of high impact, tandem moves Jay pinned Icarus with a Jay Driller.
3. Bryan Danielson +6 [TRIANGLE CHOKE] vs. Claudio Castagnoli +4 w/ The Dark Menace {1} - 13:30
- This was a great match between two top-tier wrestlers! Castagnoli had the early advantage and used his power to ground Danielson. Danielson bided his time and capitalized when Castagnoli climbed to the top rope and pulled him down into a Triangle Choke! Castagnoli reached the ropes but the momentum had shifted! Danielson tied Castagnoli up in submission after submission until he locked in another Triangle Choke in the center of the ring! The Dark Menace tried to distract the referee but to no avail! Castagnoli tapped out!
- El Generico started things off hot with an Ole Kick that led to a near fall right at the bell! Things didn’t slow down from there as these two wrestled at a breakneck pace, hitting big move after big move on one another! The finish came when El Generico got hit with a Graveyard Smash as he was getting back into the ring.
5. Jigsaw +2 [Quackendriver I] vs. Johnny Gargano +5 - 12:29
- Another great wrestling match to start the second half of the show! Jigsaw and Gargano battled back and forth in a pretty straightforward matchup with Jigsaw controlling most of the action. Jigsaw pinned Gargano with a Quackendriver I in a tribute to his trainer and former tag team partner.
- Larry Sweeney took more time getting to the ring than he did wrestling! Sweeney jaw jacked with fans on his way to the ring, strutting and posturing to a chorus of boos. When the match began Sweeney hit Ophidian with a series of knees to the ribs. Ophidian countered into a rolling reverse prawn hold which he then converted into a Death Grip! Sweeney struggled and crawled for the ropes for what seemed like minutes before finally reaching them. Ophidian released the hold, pulled Sweeney to the center of the ring, and promptly reapplied the Death Grip! Sweeney submitted immediately!
- Pinkie Sanchez, accompanied by The Dark Menace, made his way to the ring for the next match. While his opponent Shane Matthews was making his way to the ring, Pinkie Sanchez took the cane of the Dark Menace and hid it behind his back. Once Matthews was in the ring The Dark Menace distracted the referee while Sanchez clobbered Matthews with the cane! The referee called for the bell and tossed the cane out of the ring.
- Matthews managed to recover from the attack and had the advantage for a time. The finish came when Matthews climbed to the top rope and Sanchez threw him to the mat. Sanchez followed up with a Springboard Double Stomp and pinned the former 3.0 member.
- What a great main event! UltraMantis had the support of the fans against newcomer MASADA, and his experience gave him an advantage early in the contest. MASADA managed to absorb everything UltraMantis could throw at him, however, and took the action outside of the ring at every opportunity. The finish came when UltraMantis, frustrated after MASADA kicked out of a Praying Mantis Bomb, threw his opponent out of the ring and clobbered him with a chair. The referee called for the bell but MASADA refused to go down. The two men continued to brawl and security had to tear them apart! DJ Hyde grabbed a microphone and said they could settle this at Tournament of Death!
