Promoter Prime

I only play online COTG and am looking for a bit more info on what Promotor Prime will add to my game (other than more cards).
Would I be right in assuming that the cards are era specific, or can they be used in any game year whilst maintaining canon?
Are their handbooks that come with PP cards or just the cards themselves?
Please feel free to expand on your answers with tales of the fun you've had with PP!

Okay, depends on the year, depends on the cards.

In the first couple of years (14-16) they were mostly alternate wrestlers use them where you wish

In 17, we started the Kronos era of cards.

Since then FS and FTR have most of the cards.

FTR stuff has booklets at least in recent times and beforehand had other forms of writeups.

Kronos stuff has writeups somewhere on these boards and they're later configured into the Kronos sets.

FS wrestlers are mentioned at least a bit in the Future Shock sets.

Tharkas and Bishop Hell did get updates (plus a Commander Sam/Massif manager card) that went into the GWF of the time but nothing really too specific about them other than that.
