Well there wasn't another easy spot for him but Aldis does fit into Impact nicely.

I dont watch Impact, but I know most of the roster from the Indies, etc. That being said I am not sure I have ever heard of Steve Maclin before the title match was announced. Was this kind of out of nowhere or did I just completely miss this guy's assent?
