Show Notes: The NWF debuted at their home base of Madison Square Garden! Owner and promoter Toots Mondt acrossed the crowd, welcoming everyone to the show.
He added a special stipulation to the opening 10-man tag team match that all 10 men must have been legally in the match before it can end. This resulted in a good start to the bout. Hacksaw Jim Duggan's team took over and quickly got all five into the match. Tides turned and Kevin Sullivan's team did the same. This was a good one but ended via DQ when all four men stormed into the ring to break up the pin attempt on Sullivan.
The rest of the night was a lot of good wrestling matches. Big Bully Busick completely dominated Arnold Skaaland. Mike Rotunda dished it out to Ric McCord. Jon Moxley and Eric the Red just beat the holy heck out of each other all other the place. Nikita Breznikov interferred but Moxley was still able to come out on top.
Adrian Adonis rallied to beat Ilio DiPaolo. RVD frog splashed Steve Corino for the win. Jerry Lynn fended off Bob Backlund for some time but never got much offense going before going down.
