Somewhere, in a pocket universe, wrestlers from ancient Earth are being pulled from their timelines in that space between the "tick" and the "tock" of a clock, many at the height of their careers. They are being entered in a double elimination tournament, which is being run by an unknown entity. All the galactic time authorities have to go on is that somehow, someone has hijacked the Holonet and has begun broadcasting the tournament to the Universe, and it seems to be emanating from a pocket universe they cannot pinpoint. As for the wrestlers themselves, based on interviews with the original test subjects that were abducted (who think they are being audited by the IRS and have no idea about time travel and pocket universes), they are unharmed and seem to have no memory of what occurred. This has worried the galactic time authorities as the show is set up to be taking place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas around the year 2023, and if the wrestlers have no recollection of this and T-Mobile was built long after some of the wrestlers passed away, it means that someone has hold of mind-altering technology never heard of before. So far, only wrestlers have been abducted, no famous politicians or military leaders. The authorities hope it stays that way until they can capture whoever is behind this.
Here are the rules for the double elimination tournament:
1) No DQs, no count outs, no injuries, etc. 2) No managers or seconds allowed at ringside. 3) The winner of the initial tournament will be crowned champion. In subsequent seasons, the winner of the tournament will get a shot at the title. 4) At the end of the season, wrestlers who went 0-2 will have to fight an elimination match against newcomers to keep their spot for the next season. 5) Currently, I am planning on a singles and tag team tournament every season. Not sure about a womens tournament. 6) To be considered, cards must have a pin rating of 6(3) or better. 7) Tournament seeding is random draw. 8) Matches are played out online as I do not own any physical sets (just started purchasing and playing online late last year, mainly due to Grant's videos), so if you are hoping to see Roddy Piper you'll be disappointed since his card currently is unavailable online and I will not be using bootlegs (except maybe Bret Hart...need to find a good one that is free). 9) I reserve the right to change any of the above between tournaments.

Welcome aboard! Always great to see newcomers on here.
I use a tournament based format to determine number one contenders in all my Feds as well. I find it adds an extra layer of fun and excitement to the game. I love sitting down with all my cards and saying to myself: "Alright, let's see who comes out on top this time."
Looking forward to reading your results.

LTL Champions Tournament Season 1 Card 2
Kurt Angle (1-0) defeated King Kong Bundy (0-1) with a Scorpion Death Lock. 1.5* match. Hacksaw Jim Duggan (1-0) defeated Gorilla Monsoon (0-1) with a FLYING SPEAR. 4* match. Jimmy Snuka (1-0) defeated Bob Backlund (0-1) with a SUPERFLY LEAP. 2* match. Davey Boy Smith (1-0) defeated Bad News Allen (0-1) with a RUNNING POWER SLAM. 2* match.
"Superfly" Jimmy Snuka pulls a huge upset and sends Bob Backlund, a favorite to win the entire tournament, to the loser's bracket. Joining Backlund there will be his next opponent, Bad News Allen, as well and Gorilla Monsoon and King Kong Bundy, who will face each other next. Kurt Angle will face "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan in the next round of the winner's bracket, while the aforementioned Snuka will pit his high-flying skills against the power of Davey Boy Smith.

LTL Champions Tournament Season 1 Card 3
Bad News Allen (1-1) defeated Bob Backlund (0-2) with a GHETTO BLASTER. Bob Backlund is eliminated and will fight for his spot at Night of Eliminations 1. 4.5* match. King Kong Bundy (1-1) defeated Gorilla Monsoon (0-2) with an ATLANTIC CITY AVALANCHE. Gorilla Monsoon is eliminated and will fight for his spot at Night of Eliminations 1. 1.5* match. Greg Valentine (2-0) defeated Randy Savage (1-1) with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. 4* match. Curt Hennig (2-0) defeated Big Van Vader (1-1) with a HENNIG PLEX. 1* match.
Some big upsets this round. In probably the biggest upset, Bob Backlund is sent packing by Bad News Allen and will have to fight for his spot for Season 2 against an opponent waiting to enter the league at Night of Eliminations 1. Greg Valentine sends another favorite to win it all, Randy Savage, to the loser's bracket after a hard fought, back and forth match. Finally, Curt Hennig uses his speed to make short work of Vader in a match many thought favored the big man. Big Van Vader will now face another big man, King Kong Bundy, in the loser's bracket for his next match. Savage will be looking to eliminate Bad News Allen next time out, while Hennig and Valentine will be trying to relegate the other to the loser's bracket and make it to the finals of the winner's bracket. Gorilla Monsoon will be looking to fend off a challenger for his spot at Night of Eliminations 1, but if he doesn't win, many think he has a future behind the desk as a lead announcer.

LTL Champions Tournament Season 1 Card 7
Disco Inferno vs. Val Venis Val Venis defeated Disco Inferno with a Flash pin Match Rating: 0.00
Eric the Red vs. S. D. Jones Eric the Red defeated S. D. Jones with a BACKBREAKER Match Rating: 3.00
Curt Hennig vs. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan Curt Hennig (3-1) defeated "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan (3-2) with a HENNIG PLEX Match Rating: 1.50 Match Notes: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan has been eliminated.
Randy Savage vs. Jimmy Snuka Randy Savage (4-1) defeated Jimmy Snuka (2-2) with a FLYING ELBOW DROP Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Jimmy Snuka has been eliminated.
To help pad the card, a pair of matches between competitors not in the league were added. Disco Inferno and Val Venis had a horrible match that lasted two moves before Disco Inferno tried a Sunset Flip after whipping Val Venis into the ropes, only to have it reversed for a quick 1-2-3. Disco Inferno wants a rematch, but needless to say the powers that be do not want him competing in an LTL ring anytime soon after that performance. On the other hand, S.D. Jones and Eric the Red delivered a solid back and forth match that was pretty entertaining. They may be invited back at a future date if a filler match is needed, or possibly even to challenge for a spot in an upcoming season. As far as the tournament matches go, this card was again entirely in the loser's bracket. Curt Hennig eliminated "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage outlasted "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka. The next card will determine who will fight for the LTL Championship at Night of Eliminations 1. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine will be up against Kurt Angle and Curt Hennig will be taking on "Macho Man" Randy Savage. The loser of the Valentine-Angle bout will take on the winner of the Hennig-Savage match up, meaning two wrestlers will be wrestling twice on the next card. Who will win and who has the stamina and fortitude to make it into the finals and challenge for the gold?
