I think that the arenas are fun but yeah I don't want to see them as exclusives for Legends.

There are a lot of arenas and venues that sort of became celebrities in their own right by being the location for so many loved televised wrestling shows: The Sportatorium in Dallas, the venue of the same name in Florida, The Showboat in Las Vegas, and of course "the world's most famous arena" Madison Square Garden to name a few. It's a fun concept to explore after we've run out of official wrestler cards to make. But there are still a lot of names that have been signed and not released so it may be a while.

I feel if someone did do cards for arenas, they would have to do the same research as for moves for a wrestler. Search for matches that went out of the ring and ended up going into the back, or at least around ringside, where something special happened that you could incorporate into the card. Of the top of my head, I cannot remember where, there was a 3-man hardcore match that involved Big Show, Kane and Raven where one threw the other thru a glass window. Or if doing one for Joe Louis Arena you could have someone interrupt a match or in ring segment by driving a Zamboni to ringside.

Maple Leaf Gardens could have its own out of the ring chart that incorporates the ramp. Granted, you didn't get the wilder spots that WCW or CMLL use with their ring ramp but there's potential there.

I think that the arenas are fun but yeah I don't want to see them as exclusives for Legends. I’d love more choices on the cards. 2-12 each having their own result (or highest amount possible). 4-5 results isn’t enough variety. But I wouldn’t want them taking a spot up either.

I use that Palladium card when I have a major lineup that may need clean finishes. However I can see them mimicking classic venues ; such as Metropolis Center Arena, Midwest Auditorium, Canadian Garden or Southwest Stockyards. Penchant for Brawls for the stockyard, the Midwest would go by the book and maybe a 20 count where title could switch, Canadian arena could have add some quirks and Metropolis could mirror Palladium as an MSG type.

I don't think we'll ever see venue cards taking away spots in legends because most building designs are copyrighted in some aspects by the designers/companies that built them. So you'll have to get a release like you do with wrestlers. I guess it's possible. My theory on Venue Cards is it's more about the rules modifications than any chart. What is/was different about wrestling in that venue and how can the rules be modified/tweaked to reflect that style? Lower/raise DQ ratings, Make Piledrivers or thrown out over the top illegal, allow more (or less) interference. Charts are fun and have their place but to me, capturing the style of how wrestling used to be in that venue, is the ultimate goal of a venue card and that is done by slight tweaks to the rules. My venue cards are available for free to anyone in the Filsinger Games folder at promotertoolbox.com. And more to come!
