Bill Dundee overcame Boris Malenko with the Superstar Bomb.
The Technicians rolled past The Nu Age Outlaws following the Atomic Drop on James. The Outlaws struggled a bit and The Technicians took advantage as Backlund caught James with the Atomic Drop for the pin.

Andre the Giant crushed Shane Douglas with an elbow drop on the floor causing him to be counted out. Andre simply didn't like Douglas as he got three near countouts on him before the fourth finally did the job.
In a second straight match that ended in countout, Bob Backlund bested Masked Superstar by that when he caught Superstar with an underhook suplex on the floor. This was just barely started when Backlund tossed Superstar to the floor and suplexed him. Most expected Superstar to roll in but he hit his head hard and was too dazed to get into the ring in time.

In an excellent 2 out of 3 falls match, Bob Roop edged Mark Fleming 2 falls to 1. Despite their alignment differences, they shook hands after the match as Roop said he needed that butt kicking to get out of his funk.
Fleming won fall one with a double underhook suplex.
Roop caught Fleming off guard with a jumping knee smash to claim fall two.
It took two Shoulder Breakers, but Roop finished off Fleming with the Shoulder Breaker.
(Roop and Fleming will each receive a Promoter Push here and ETW for three months)
Afterwards they announced they will form a part time tag team known as The Body Breakers.
Bob Backlund pinned Baron Von Raschke after a flying cross body press. Backlund went to the top and caught Von Raschke off guard in a squash match.

The Body Breakers crushed The Mulkeys in all of one move as Roop hit a jumping knee smash on Randy Mulkey knocking him cold.
In a great match, Bob Backlund caught Dan Severn in the Rolling Backbridge for the three count. Backlund struck first but Severn made a big comeback and went from Choke Sleeper to Armbar (for a very near tap) to another Choke Sleeper but Backlund would not stay down and eventually caught him off the ropes and rolled up Severn for the win.

Mark Fleming forced Nacho Barrera to submit to the STF.
Bob Roop upset Bob Backlund in a wild brawl with the Shoulder Breaker. This could have gone either way but in the end, Roop avoided the referee's wrath on the floor and scored a near fall with the guillotine leg drop before finishing off Backlund with his Shoulder Breaker.

Magnum TA used Nick Bockwinkel's own finisher the sleeper to upset him. Bock mistimed a deathjump and Magnum locked on a sleeper for the upset.
In a nice battle, The Technicians bested The Body Breakers when Garea forced Fleming to submit to the Abdominal Stretch.

Jack Brisco pinned Larry Hennig after two Rolling Reverse Cradles.
Jerry Brisco upset Bob Backlund with the Figure Four Leglock. Brisco took it to Backlund and Backlund just could not take advantage when he had it except for one Rolling Backbridge. Backlund's favorite move (the Gotch lift) cost him as Brisco reversed it, caught Backlund off the ropes and then locked on the Figure Four to win.

Well I guess it was bound to happen brother TTX! Congrats to Bob Roop & Jerry Brisco. Really enjoyed Backlund coming back from behind to beat The Beast ROLLING BACKBRIDGE style. "Soft cries in the night" lol. This has been a really fun read! |

Backlund's had a rough patch and has Jack and the Briscos tag team to go. Still, he'll turn around eventually.

Jerry Brisco forced George South to submit to the Figure Four Leglock.
Jack Brisco kept Bob Backlund's struggles going forcing him down with the lateral guillotine three times in succession. This was just starting to get hot and suddenly Backlund passed out in a guillotine hold.
