The bookers can be crazy at times. Thankfully I don't have to come up with some crazy storyline to explain it. It's also why I never book my champions in title matches with wrestlers I'm not comfortable holding the title. These things can happen.

Antonio Inoki put away Gorilla Monsoon with the Octopus Hold.
Bob Backlund bested Larry Sharpe (borrowing Monster Factory) with a piledriver. Studd and Bundy went to climb into the ring but Arnold Skaaland, Tony Garea and Larry Zbyszko put a stop to that. (Sharpe 2 fatigue)

American Males squashed The Love Brothers when Bagwell pinned Reginald after the Double Dropkick.
In a really bad ending to a good match, Bob Backlund beat The Spoiler by disqualification when the referee grew tired of Spoiler's antics on the floor and disqualified him for elbow dropping Backlund through a table. (Snake Eyes dq roll)

JJ Dillon squashed Jake Milliman with the Elbow Drop. It took about a minute to finish off The Milkman.
Bob Backlund easily handled Scott Irwin forcing him to submit to the Boston Crab. Irwin got in a few shots but Backlund reversed a double forearm clap wtih a double leg takedown before clamping on the Boston Crab for the victory.

Punk and Funk Connection bested Disco Fever with the Crucifix putting away Steinborn. Steinborn got a submission attempt with a sleeperhold but in the end, Street locked on the Crucifix as Disco and Valiant brawled on the floor.
Bob Backlund crushed Davey Boy Smith (S) with the Atomic Drop. This was almost entirely all Backlund as he kept hitting finisher after finisher plus a piledriver till one last Atomic Drop ended things.

Kurt Angle easily handled Ox Baker with a backbreaker. It was a slightly long squash before a backbreaker finished things off.
Bob Backlund finished off Gorgeous George with the Crossface Chicken Wing. George hung around for a long while and did get on a Spinning Toe Hold but in the end, Backlund just dominated and clamped on the Chicken Wing twice for the submission.
