Doing a reboot fer at the moment and I introduced the Torture Chamber in 2088 though it didn’t officially come in until 2090.
I have an all special matches event coming soonish which I’m starting to plan for and am tempted to bring something else out early, but I also wonder if I’m cheating myself a little bit as I don’t want to frontload these things too much and not have the proper build up and introduction of them.
Wondering how others have handled this.

Go for it bro. I did a stretcher match in 2075 and a chain match in 2076. If the feud/storyline calls for it, do it.

I just do it. Just like real wrestling when a gimmick match goes mainstream it was usually some territory match going back for decades.

I tend to do a LOT different that is not official, so I use a match when I want to. Maddot1981 makes a great point about time between being used before becoming official. Be it test runs on house shows to see how it works before going big or even the match being considered a one-off deal before being used again due to being popular.

in my GWF A Galaxy Reimagined (the color reboot) the battle royal, ladder march, triple threat and royal rumble are used in 2087, torture chamber I moved up a year and tables are used right away too.
