Kronos: RESENTMENT
A Galacticon 2023 Four-Pack Giveaway.
Characters and stories by Rob Beaubien.
Art by Werner Mueck.
The following stories occur after the unexpected arrivals of Paralyze and Sectarian the Barbarian on Kronos.
GHOST OF TERROR
Allies: The Survivors
Enemies: Earth First
Feuds: Commander Sam
FINISHER: DREADNAUGHT is at peak power as Ghost enters his wrestling prime.
When Disciple of Terror first arrived to Kronos he was focused on competing among the Champions Oath, fighting to keep the legacy of Dreadnaught alive and chasing the elusive Crown of Kronos.
But now something has changed about him.
Disciple of Terror says his intergalactic travels through time and space to Kronos from Dimension K have opened his mind.
He has changed name to GHOST along with his appearance, donning Dreadnaught’s same war gear and carrying an exact replica of the weapon Dreadnaught used to hold.
But that’s not all. Not only does Ghost resemble Dreadnaught more than ever, he’s become obsessed with Dreadnaught’s career rival - Commander Sam!
Once fully committed to the Champions Oath, Ghost has now abandoned that post to enter the never ending war on Kronos to go after Commander Sam and Earth First!
The whole thing is as bizarre and dangerous as it sounds. Ghost thought he was born to carry on the legend of Dreadnaught by being a Disciple of Terror - but now he’s really turning things up by actually claiming to be the reincarnation of Dreadnaught! Ghost says the spirit of Dreadnaught lives inside of him and guides him like a manager. And the spirit of Dreadnaught is steering Ghost into the direct path of the war on Kronos and the leader of the hero team - Commander Sam!
Has Disciple of Terror gone mad? Or is he more focused than ever on his newest mission - to destroy Commander Sam once and for all, never allowing the galaxy to forget the name of Dreadnaught!
Ghost has signed a temporary pact with Nikolai to join the Survivors on the villain team. This puts Ghost in the position to feud with Commander Sam and give Nikolai a huge advantage in the battle between the Survivors versus Earth First.
Will the decision to add Ghost to the Survivors come back to haunt Nikolai?
Note: In an unsettling and unexplained phenomenon, the mangled spirit of Dreadnaught sometimes appears during Ghost’s matches, causing a distraction to referees and opponents, not to mention scaring the live crowd out of their seats!
When Ghost is down or being pinned, roll two dice to see if the spirit of Dreadnaught appears. On a roll of 7 or less, it means the disturbing image of his spirit has appeared and caused a successful distraction. On rolls of 8 or higher, the spirit of Dreadnaught fails to appear. Play normally.
Is this an elaborate hoax by Ghost to gain a psychological advantage over his opponents, or the real deal?
METEOR STORM
Allies: Hades
Enemies: Omega, Solaris
Feuds: Sixth Law
FINISHERS: OUTLAW RUN - A power/speed combo tag finisher where Buckshot Bart goes high to flatten the opponent with a running lariat, while at the same time, Astro Crook goes low, taking the opponents knees out from underneath them with a running dropkick to the legs.
METEOR STORM - Buckshot Bart hoists the opponent up onto his shoulders and Astro Crook comes jumping off of the top rope with a double cowboy boot stomp to the opponents chest as they come crashing down to the mat.
BART’S CRUNCH - Vader splash from the second rope.
BUCKSHOT BRUISER - A bruising buckshot Lariat from the big man.
In singles matches, Astro Crook uses a fisherman’s suplex he calls WANTED MAN.
Once is a coincidence. Twice is a pattern. Three is a problem.
ASTRO CROOK and BUCKSHOT BART follow Paralyze and Sectarian the Barbarian to Kronos through unknown and illegal back channels.
They are the latest wrestlers to magically appear at the Crossroads of the Galaxy while the portal to Kronos remains inoperable.
And Solaris has seen enough.
By now it’s obvious that someone has an agenda behind the scenes. Who could be motivated to contaminate Kronos and bypass the travel laws set forth by Solaris? Who dare challenge the Warrior of Light on his own turf?
Solaris has promised to find out, and solve this mystery.
Buckle up, fans! Because things are only going to get worse on Kronos before they get better.
Making things even more shady, Meteor Storm brags about escaping authorities in their universe, and hiding from capture on Kronos. Whoever is responsible for helping them escape their alternate universe and bringing them to Kronos is guilty of aiding and abetting cosmic criminals!
Can they be stopped?
“We’re wanted men! But ain’t nobody got the guts or brains to bring us in!” boasts Astro Crook.
“We do what we want and nobody can stop us! All the treasures on Kronos are ours for the taking!” warns Buckshot Bart.
Will the lawlessness bravado of Meteor Storm draw the attention of Sixth Law? Meteor Storm versus the Six Law could become a big feud on Kronos if this bad behavior by Astro Crook & Buckshot Bart continues!
HADES
Allies: Paralyze, Sectarian the Barbarian, Meteor Storm
Enemies: Solaris, Mentor, Nikolai, Cosmos
Feuds: Omega
FINISHER: Hades mocks Omega, Champions Oath and the Crown of Kronos with KING OF HADES, a violent Heart Punch.
Hades sets his opponents up for KING OF HADES with Wrath of Morpheus, a running over-the-shoulder power slam and Last Breaths of Life, a standing guillotine choke.
The cat is finally out of the bag!
Without Solaris and Omega controlling exactly who could travel to and from Kronos, Morpheus never had a chance!
But all that has changed now with Omega’s hated enemy outsmarting his rivals and finding back channels into Kronos.
Morpheus celebrates his epic return to Kronos with an amped up image and a sinister new name - HADES!
Is this the original Morpheus, or an alternate universe version of our famed villain megalomaniac? Nobody knows for sure, but one thing is for certain, Omega is in big trouble with Hades finally here on Kronos!
After the sudden appearances of Meteor Storm, Solaris put his foot down declaring an official investigation into the recent string of uninvited wrestlers showing up on Kronos.
But he didn’t have to wait long to find out who the mastermind behind the madness is.
Like the others before him, Hades appeared out of thin air during a match between Omega versus Mentor. It was a stunning debut seeing Hades level Omega with KING OF HADES leading to the automatic disqualification. Hades immediately made his intentions known challenging Omega and Solaris to meet him in the ring. Will they accept?
Hades claims Omega has used his political powers in the galaxy to keep him away from Kronos. In fact, Hades has gone as far as to accuse Omega of bribing Solaris to keep the portal to Kronos inoperable after its destruction at the hands of Man of Power, all in an elaborate scheme to keep Hades locked away from the Crossroads of the Galaxy.
Who is telling the truth, and who might not be being completely transparent with the fans?
Regardless, with the portal broken and no longer completely controlled by Solaris, Hades saw his chance. Nobody knows exactly how he did it (some say he had some help from a still unnamed accomplice), but somehow Hades found a wormhole into Kronos and began smuggling Paralyze, Sectarian the Barbarian and Meteor Storm into the Crossroads in a vile attempt to usurp Omega’s plans to bring peace and order back to Kronos.
And so far, it has worked. The Champions Oath is the most honorable and prestigious super group in the COTGalaxy yet the war on Kronos rages on with no end in sight.
Hades mocks the Champions Oath by refusing to sign anything ever presented to him by Omega, but demands they meet him in the ring anyways. Epic dream matches pitting Hades against wrestlers like Chaos Supreme, Pegasus and Cosmos await the greatest fans in the galaxy!
Hades has disrupted the war as well with his sudden appearance. Hades calls himself the only true leader of the villain team, a claim that insults Nikolai. Will Hades make a power play for control of the villain team on Kronos?
Hades is full of resentment and making a lot of enemies with his shocking arrival at the Crossroads of the Galaxy!
