I just preordered the first new wrestling game I have bought in 20 years. With the throwback late 90's style game play, Mario Party like mini games and the newly leaked Stadium Stampede mode that is basically wrestling Fortnite, this seemed totally up my alley. Hopefully one of the kids lets me use their switch to play it.

The Nerd Bar (who also showed Forbidden Door 2 for free last Sunday, but I was flying to Seattle) has a release party tomorrow for Fight Forever. I plan to get this game for my Nintendo Switch and if I get it in time I will bring it to Waterloo because I almost always travel with my Nintendo Switch (Mania Weekend was an exception.)

I thought about going to the release part for this game tomorrow night at the Nerd Bar but then I remembered I have a ticket to see the new Indiana Jones movie tomorrow night. I do however plan to get this game very soon.

Good news, my fellow PS5 owners:
AEW Fight Forever is on PS+ for FREE, yay!
Nice, huh?

Still expensive on Xbox Series S even w Game Pass. I’ll get it if it’s ever substantially cheaper.

I really enjoy the game, it's a great throwback to the controls of games like WCW/nWo v the World and other games that came out around that time. I don't like that each "Season Pass" only lasts about 3-4 months and only adds between 2-4 wrestlers a "Season."
I'm not a fan of any of the mini-games within the game and I've only tried the "Stadium Stampede" a couple of times. I would also like the option to have the referee's be random, since there is only two of them it would be nice for the game to switch them up from time to time without me having to do it for it.
If they didn't put in the mini-games they could have included a GM mode which could have helped add to the re-playability of the game. So far the only option for playing multiple matches at random in a row is the "Beat the Elite" mode.
Overall I do enjoy the game play way more then the WWE series, so I will be sticking with it and I do try to play at least a handful of matches every week.

I think re-playability is probably its biggest issue. The mini games may be more fun when you have several people playing. The season passes are interesting, and it was good they listened to people's feedback after second season in terms of pricing

Can you play booker and just book shows and watch the action unfold? I do that with the WWE games.
