Here's a little history of the league and frame up!
Once upon a time...
Two wrestling promotions called the VWF (Video Game Wrestling Federation) and the VWA (Video Game Wrestling Association) were two of the biggest promotions on the planet Earth! VWA who had some great fighters by the names of Starman, Fighter Hayabusa, Kin Corn Karn, The Amazon, Giant Panther and Champ King Slender. Giant Panther and King Slender were usually the top guys, but many on the roster were very competitive and would reign as champion! Over on the VWF, The Great Puma reigned supreme, never losing the title and being perhaps one of the most dominate champions in the history of Video Game Wrestling. He is the only guy that is still undefeated and doesn't look beatable at any time!
Some years later, both promotions struggled to still exist! The VWF was in serious financial trouble and was about to close down! So was the VWA. Enter, Gazillionaire, Vinnie Mac! He owns a huge software company that is a world trader, and stocks are through the roof! With no signs of money not pouring in, Vinnie Mac decides he's going into the wrestling business! He buys the VWF and gives The Great Puma a huge contract to remain the Champion and exclusively with the VWF! In fact, Vinnie Mac has HUGE plans for the VWF, only signing the TOP TALENTS from around the world! He lands a tag team to be his champions, Sunny & Terry, The Champion Brothers from a smaller tag team promotion. They have a great reputation defeating a tough team, who were named "The Crusher" and "Mask X", managed by "The Arab", who always attacked the opponents outside the ring! Vinnie Mac is always scouting the other video game promotions out there, looking for their talent to recruit over to the VWF and compete for the biggest show in April, called appropriately "VINNIE-MANIA!" Only the biggest show on the planet, it's like the Super Bowl of Video Game Wrestling! But you have to sign with the VWF to get on the show! Vinnie will make a lot of promises to lure talent in! Like a title shot at the World Champion, The Great Puma. If Puma beats you, you have to negotiate a contract deal with Vinnie! Even if that means leaving your own promotion! Dirty!

The TWA (Technos Wrestling Association, The Golden Hulk and Coco Savage reside here)
The MEW (Main Event Wrestling, a tag based promotion, these tag matches are legendary!)
The UWA (Underground Wrestling Association, underground street fighter based on Saturday Night Slam Masters)
The SWF (Slamtown Wrestling Federation, a developmental promotion for the CWA)
And the MWF (MUSCLE Wrestling Federation, a tag Death Match promotion featuring Muscle Man!)
Vinnie Mac watches all these promotions like a hawk, and will sometimes show up and entice talent! His biggest rival is Victor Ortega, who has his CWA promotion on fire with his show Saturday Night Slam Masters!
