Well after tring to restart my old UWA over on the COTG boards, I have been pulled more to the legends side as I found I wanted to use more and more legends then I did COTG wrestlers that and I was only wanting to use the more human looking COTG guys. So after thinking it over I decied to go all in on the legends side and thus the CWA was born. This will be a LOW, Indies and Bootleg project right now I am starting with legends but indie guys will make an appearance and some boots of wrestlers I either have not got the official card for yet or are not in the game.

So Crimson Dragon Promotions Presents:

CWA Announcement

The CDP announced today that the CWA Will hold a 3 Night Event on Canada Day Weekend at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, ON, Canada called the GOLDEN ROAD and it will be tournaments held to crown the CWA World Champion and CWA World Tag Team Championships. Night One will be the first two rounds of the World Tournament and Night Two will be the first two rounds of the World Tag Tournament and Night 3 would be the conclusion of the those two tournaments and the crowning of the new champions. The Match ups for the First Round of the World and Tag Tournament are as follows.

The CWA theme "Eye Of The Tiger" by Survivor plays and a man dressed in a leather jacket, black jeans and sunglasses makes his way to the ring, he enters the ring and takes the microphone.

Man: Hello everyone I hope you are ready for some great action tonight. I am your host and CWA Commissioner Donovan Black and this is the GOLDEN ROAD!!!

The arena explodes as the fans cheer and more fireworks go off.

Black: Before we get started I have a few announcements to make and I also want to welcome everyone watch tonight at home. Now onto buisness first I am proud to annouce the CWA has signed to great TV deals with the Fight Network and TSN. First starting next Saturday at Noon on the Fight Network the EWA will host the own TV show Maple Leaf Wrestling and I am happy to say I will be your host for that show. And also Starting this Saturday at 1 on TSN the WWA will host their TV show All Star Wrestling and that show will be hosted by none other then Ed Whalen.

The fans cheer at this great news.

Black: Now before we start I would like to thank the owner of Crimson Dragon Promotions and all the great staff at CDP for making the Canadian Wrestling Alliance a reality and not just someone’s pipe dream. World Championship Tournament Round 01

The Destroyer vs Cowboy Bob Orton
The match started with both men getting nose to nose and having words then they started shoving each other and Orton then took over on Offense but Destroyer fought back and sent Orton into the corner and followed him in only to be hit by a Skullsplitting running lariat from Orton who quickly followed with a cover and the 3 count for the Victory.
Winner: Cowboy Bob Orton

“Playboy” Buddy Rose vs Mil Mascaras
Mil Mascaras kept Buddy Rose off balance using his agility to duck and counter moves to keep the offence in his favour and finally a vary whined Rose was caught off guard and Mascaras hit his finisher FLYING BODYPRESS and scored the pinfall.
Winner: Mil Mascaras

Segment: Backstage Promo
The CWA Logo is shown and then Bobby Heenan and King Kong Bundy walk into view. Heenan says that its a forgone conclusion that King Kong Bundy will be the CWA World Champion and there is no one in this tournament that can even match the sheer power of Bundy. Bundy says he didn’t come here to make friends he came here for one reason and that was the world championship and no one was goning to do a damn thing to stop him.

Donovan Black is shown again at the Commentators podium

Black: Those are some strong words by King Kong Bundy and Bobby Heenan I feel sorry for Koko B. Ware tonight as he is Bundy’s first round opponent. Speaking of opponents both Mil Mascaras and Cowboy Bob Orton of the Western Wrestling Association have advance in the tournament and will face each other in the next round. Hopefully some of the Eastern Wrestling Association can get into the next round so its not all the western boys who get a chance at the CWA World Title. Lets head back to the ring.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs Justin Credible
As Hacksaw was getting in the ring Justin Credible attacked him with a DDT and 3 moves latter hit Duggan with the SINGAPORE CANE wile the ref was distracted by a fan who jumped over the guard rail who chose that moment to do that. The ref rolled back in and counted the 3 count and that was all she wrote for Hacksaw in the world tournament.
Winner: Justin Credible

King Kong Bundy w/Bobby Heenan vs Koko B. Ware
Bundy showed what he said in his promo earlier there was nothing Koko could do Bundy just domminated the match Bundy did hit the AVALANCH early in the match but Koko kicked out whuch seem to make Bundy angrier and he laid a beating on Koko and then finished him off with a brutal Power Drop (promoter note I know the power Drop is a ch D move I just could not picture Bundy doing a clutch suplex) and covered him not even demanding his usual 5 count.
Winner: King Kong Bundy

The Sandman vs The Sheik
This was a bloody battle that saw The Sandman wearing the crimson mask. The match raged inside and outside the ring as both men took it to each other. Sandman was opened up early when the Sheik hit him numerous times with a sharp object that the ref did not see and finally he locked on the CAMEL CLUTCH and the ref called for the bell as The Sandman seemed to be out cold more from blood loss then the move.
Winner: The Sheik
Match Rating: *****

Black: Oh my god that match was not for the faint of heart, I think Sandman needs medical attention he has lost a lot of blood. And I pity the next man who faces the Sheik he is absolutely insane.

Don Leo Jonathan vs Gorgeous George
Jonathan started out strong using his size and power to work over the Gorgeous one but frustrated by being manhandle by the big man George rolled out of the ring and when Jonathan came close to the ropes to drag him in George pulled him out and quickly sent the big man head first into the ring post and that turned the match in the favour of the Gorgeous One. After that George took over on offence but it was Gorge’s valet Cherie Dupre who got the victory for her man, George had hit Jonathan with a flying closeline from the top rope that knocked the big man out of the ring and when George went to go out after him the ref pushed him back and had his back turned to the outside of the ring, it was then that Dupre snuck up behined Jonathan that was getting to his feet and spun him around and sprayed perfume in his face. Jonathan blined stumpled around not able to get back in the ting before the ten count thus give Gorgeous George the win via count out.
Winner: Gorgeous George
Match Rating: ***½

Black: The Gorgeous One picks up the win with an assist from Cherie Dupre, but if I was him I wouldn’t be celebrating he now has to face the Sheik in the next round and that is something to be worried about.

Jimmy Snuka vs Ox Baker
This was a wild match with both men going toe toe move and counter move, the action spilled to the outside and Baker seemed to gain the advantage throwing Snuka into the ring steps then back into the ring where he waited patiently for Snuka to get to his feet then he hit him with the HEART PUNCH and scored the pinfall. Snuka was tho able to leave the ring after the match on his own power.
Winner: Ox Baker

Giant Baba vs Johnny Valentine
Johnny Valentine made quick work of Giant Baba scoring the pin fall after hitting him twice with vary vicious looking forarm hammer’s after the second he went for the cover and to the suprise of the fans scored the 3 count although Baba tried to put his leg on the ropes to stop the count the ref did not see it and after the 3 count Valentine pulled it off before the ref could see it.
Winner: Johnny Valentine

Black: Well that is the first round of the Tournament down we saw a vary bloody match between the Sheik and The Sandman who I am told is doing ok and need to have the cut on his head sewn up, So Now lets get onto the second round and fined out who will face each other at Night 3 of the Golden Road.

World Championship Tournament Round 02

Cowboy Bob Orton vs Mil Mascaras
The match started before the beel as Cowboy Bob Orton attacked Mil Mascaras as he was getting in the ring and it was all over from there as Orton continued the assult with a attomic kneedrop and tried a quick cover but Mascaras get out at one, not letting up Orton hit a second attomic kneedrop then followed that with his finisher the SUPERPLEX and that was the end of the match as he covered Mascaras for the 1.2..3.
Winner: Cowboy Bob Orton

Justin Credible vs King Kong Bundy
In what looked to be a victory for Justin Credible turned into the comback of the night. The match started with Justin Credible running to the ring as Bundy was being introduced and smashing him in the head with his cane he then went on the attack with everything he had even hitting Bundy 4 Times with the SINGAPORE CANE busting Bundy open. Heenan kept Bundy in the match stopping the ref from making the 3 count but finally the ref had enough and ejected Heenan from the match it was at this point things looked grim for Bundy but after Credible threw Bundy into the ropes and Bundy came back with a big shoulder tackle that the tied turn Bundy followed that with a running powerslam and the an AVALANCH and scored the five count. After the match Bundy grabbed the mic and said no one was going to ******* stop him from getting that World title and this just proves it he points at his bleeding face before dropping the mic and heading to the back stepping on the still prone Credible on his way out.
Winner: King Kong Bundy

Black: OH MY GOD!! that was well I can’t describe what that was but if that was how determined King Kong Bundy is to become the first CWA World Champion I don’t even think the Sheik can stop him. That match has to be the best match of the night and wether you love him or hate him you have to respect the drive of King Kong Budy to take that beating and still walk out the winner all be it a bloody winner has to be amazing. And Justin Credible may think twice before attacking his next opponet before the bell.

The Sheik vs Gorgeous George
In a Terrifying ending to a strange match that saw Gorgeous George almost not wanting to touch the Sheik the match but still able to keep most of the offense until the Sheik took the match to the outside and gain the controll and then once back into the ring the Sheik used Georges own vale to his advantage he roled out of the ring and chased Cherrie into the ring and when the ref was escorting her out of the ring he did the unthinkable he hit the Gorgeous one with his dreaded FIREBALL to the face and covered the screaming George the ref not sure what to do quickly counted the 1.2..3 as a shocked Dupre looked on frozen at what had just happen even to distract the ref and stop the pin.
Winner: The Sheik

Donovan Black is shown at the commentators podium again with a shocked look on his face.

Black: I can't get that scream that Gorgeous George let out when that that Fireball hit him. My God he took it right in the face the medical crew is attending to him and helping him to the back. That was just sick and sadistic of the Sheik if this man becomes the CWA World Champion I am going to be sick to my stomach. I will be talking to the CDP owner about what we can do about that man.

Ox Baker vs Johnny Valentine
Johnny Valentine came into this match with a game plane he necer lost his focus even when baker took the match to the outside and tried to brawl with him. Baker did score a near fall on Valentine early in the match but that was the only time he got Valentine down and after 2 ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER that was all for Baker.
Winner: Johnny Valentine

World Tag Team Championship Tournament Round 01

The Sheepherders vs The Valiants w/ Captain Lou Albano
This was a bloddy battle as both Valiants and Butch Miller were busted open. The battle raged all over both in the ring and out of the ring as both teams tried to advance in this tournament but finally Johnny Valiant scored the 3 count on Butch Miller with the SPINNING NECKBREAKER.
Winner: The Valiants
Match Rating: ****½

Haley Race & Masked Superstar vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Bruiser Brody
This match saw some great action and both teams worked well together for the first half of the match Duggan and Brody cut the ring off on the masked Superstar and even when Superstar managed to get a tag into Race they cut the ring off on him and worked him over but Race managed to comeback and then him and Superstar cut Brody off and that was all she wrote as Race defeated Brousier Brody with a back suplex to get the pinfall.
Winner: Haley Race & Masked Superstar

Segment: Video
A video is shown of Nikita Breznikov, Nikolai Volkoff and the Iron Sheik walking around Toronto making fun of the Canadians and the country and how stupid the CWA fans are.

Black: Well I apologize to all the fans that the comments made by those 3 offened you and I know the Flying Redheads will not let them get away with that.

Flying Redheads vs Nickoli Volkoff & Iron Sheik
This match was a tag clinc with both teams using quick tags and cutting off the ring at various times, Volkoff and the Sheik worked over Red Bastien so much that he was effectively taken out of the match and Lyons had to go it alone but thanks to him and Bastien cutting off the ring earlier in the match on Volkoff he was able to keep the Russian from making a tag and forced him to tap out to the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.
Winner: Flying Redheads

Bobo Brazil & The Destroyer vs Nick Bockwinkel & Killer Kowalski w/ Bobby Heenan
This match saw both teams work over one man cutting the ring off on him for a bit. For Destroyer and Beazil it was Nick Bockwinkel they cut the ring off on him early and worked him over Bockwinkel finaly made the hot tag and Kowalski got control back for his team and they worked over Brazil. The action didn’t saty in the ring either as it spilled to the outside and at times both teams where brawling each other in and around the ring. But the end finally came when Bockwinkel caugh Brazil in the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER and Brazil went to sleep.
Winner: Nick Bockwinkel & Killer Kowalski w/ Bobby Heenan

Hooligans vs The Vachons
This was a fast paced match as the Hooligans made the Vachons wrestler there type of match which was not good for the Frenchmen and it cost them as Brian Kendrick caught Mad Dog with a perfect cross body from the top turnbuckle and scored the pinfal for his team
Winner: Hooligans
Match Rating: ****

Black: Well I knew the Tag tournament was going to be exciting but wow my heart is racing this has been like riding a roller coaster her tonight. We have 3 more matches in this round I hope you are all buckled in cause I think we are about to go one another great ride as these teams give us there all for the chance to be the first ever CWA World Tag Team Champions.


The Road Warriors vs Canadian Wrecking Crew
The Canadian Wrecking Crew stared off strong cutting the ring off on animal and working him over but the Roadwarrior fought back and gained control tagging in Hawk who controled the ring and set John Tolos up for the DOOMSDAY DEVICE and that was it for the Wrecking Crew.
Winner: The Road Warriors
Match Rating: **½

The Armstrongs vs Midnight Express w/ Jim Cornett
This was a one sided match as the Armstrongs controlled the match and not even when the express got the hot tag could they gain any momentum. Even Corrnett could not make a difference and once Bob Armstrong locked Bobby Eaton in the SLEEPER for the 3rd time it was lights out and the Armstrongs advance to the next round.
Winner: The Armstrongs
Match Rating: ***½

Black: And just like that one of the favorites to win this Tournament the Midnight Express are eliminated. I did not see that coming no disrespect to the Armstrongs I just thought Jim Cornett was too much of an advantage for the Express.

Texas Hangmen vs The Killer Bees
This match was fast paced match with both teams tagging in and out quickly but ultimately the Texas Hangmens double teaming worked in there advantage and after hitting Jim Brunzell with the Hangman’s Noose Psycho covered him for the 1..2..3 as Killer kept Blair for making the save.
Winner: Texas Hangmen
Match Rating: ****½

Black: Well that is the first round of the Tournament down we saw some unexpected outcomes in this round and I am sure the next round we will see more. So Now lets get onto the second round and fined out who will face each other at Night 3 of the Golden Road.
World Tag Team Championship Tournament Round 02

The Valiants w/ Captain Lou Albano vs Haley Race & Masked Superstar
The team of Race and Superstar worked together better than the last match and it paid off as they cutt the ring off on Jimmy Valiant and worked him over, the end came when Harley Race hit him with a running lariat and covered him for the 1..2..3 as Masked Superstar took care of Johnny and Captain Lou
Winner: Haley Race & Masked Superstar
Match Rating: ****

Flying Redheads vs Nick Bockwinkel & Killer Kowalski w/ Bobby Heenan
Nick Bockwinkel & Killer Kowalski d. Flying Redheads when Nick Bockwinkel hit Billy Lyons with a pildriver on the outside of the ring and Lyons could not make it back into the ring before the count out.
Winner: Nick Bockwinkel & Killer Kowalski w/ Bobby Heenan

Hooligans vs The Road Warriors
The Road Warriors showed why they are the most feared team in wrestling as they took a beating from Kendrick and London but a quick counter and Animal set London up for the DOOMSDAY DEVICE and Hawk made the cover for the 1..2...3 and it was Over
Winner: The Road Warriors

Black: The Road Warriors are on their way to Night 3 and the Hooligans are on their way to the airport. I can’t say I am surprised the Legion of Doom are one of the most dominated teams in wrestling and who ever faces them next best remember that.

The Armstrongs vs Texas Hangmen
The Texas Hangman pick up the count out victory after Psycho DDT Bob Armstrong on the outside of the ring and he could not get back in the ring before the 10 count.
Winner: Texas Hangmen
Match Rating: **½

This match was quick and one sided as Koko B. Ware made quick work of Playboy Buddy Rose and picked up the pinfall after hitting a flying headbutt

World Tag Team Championship Tournament Round 03

Haley Race & Masked Superstar vs Nick Bockwinkel & Killer Kowalski w/ Bobby Heenan
The match started with Killer Kowalski and Harley Race in the ring and they did 5 minutes of move for move wrestling where they just did a move and the other countered finally Race took control and worked over Kowalski for a bit then tagged in the Masked Superstar that’s when things changed Kowalski managed to get back controll and tagged in Bockwinkel and after several near falls with Superstar taking both of Bockwinkels finishers twice, Bockwinkel hit him with a back suplex and got the 3 count to win the match.
Winner: Nick Bockwinkel & Killer Kowalski w/ Bobby Heenan

The Road Warriors w/Paul Ellering vs Texas Hangmen
The Road Warriors dominated this match which saw both Hangmen take 2 DOOMSDAY DEVICES and still manage to keep going with the help of each other. But it all ended when Animal set Killer up for the spiked peledriver and Hawk covered hom for the 1..2..3

Heenan: Ladies and gentlement what you see before you is the group of men that after tonight will rule the Canadian Wrestling Alliance. You see this man right here (points at King Kong Bundy) he is your next World Champion he is the true king of the CWA.

Bundy: That’s right Bobby there is no one in the CWA that can match my power. Cowboy Bob Orton my advise for you is to get on your horse and head out of town cause if you don’t there is an Avalanche with your name on it coming for you in our match. And after I am done with you it doesn’t matter if it’s Johnny Valentine or the Sheik your not stopping me from becoming World Champion.

Heenan: And to you two Jacked up morons who just beat the Texas Hangman to advance to face these two (points to Nick Bockwinkel and Killer Kowalski) gentlemen you have no chance of beating them even with that moron you call a manager leading you.

Bockwinkel: Road Warriors you are powerful but the two of us (points to himself and Kowalski) have more experience combined the you two have brain cells. And with Bobby here we have more intelligence as well.

Kowalski: We are ring generals as you are just mere grunts. We have studied your every move and we know your weakness and we are going to exploit it and take those Tag belts home with us.

Heenan: So as you can see ladies and gentlemen we are prepared to make history tonight are you prepared to see it.

With that all 4 men walk off and the camera flips to Donovan Black at the Commentators podium.

Black: Well it looks like the Heenan Family is ready to take over the CWA but they still have a few obstetrical in the way. Let’s get back to the action as Frank Gotch makes his CWA debut.

Frank Gotch vs Jimmy Snuka
This match was a mat classic the match started out with Snuka just dominating Gotch and even scoring his finisher the SUPERFLY LEAP but Gitch managed to kick out then make a come back and once he got control he took Snuka to the mat and just didn’t let up and picked up the win via submission when he locked Snuka in the guilotine choke and Snuka tapped out.

World Championship Tournament Round 03

Cowboy Bob Orton vs King Kong Bundy w/Bobby Heenan
The match started off with Bob Orton going right at Bundy and keeping him on deffence for most of the first part of the match but just when it looked like Bundy was going to be defeated Bobby Heenan signalled to the back and Bockwinkel and Kowalski came running down. Bockwinkel jumped on the apron getting the refs attention while Kowalski slid in the ring and attacked Orton and helping Bundy regain the offence as the ref cleared the ring of the two intruders Bundy took over on offence and hit the AVALANCH for the 5 count and the win. He was joined in the ring by Heenan, Bockwinkel and Kowalski.
Winner: King Kong Bundy w/Bobby Heenan

Black: That is not how that should have gone down you can bet I will be having a talk to Mr. Heenan and his men about that. The CWA is about fair play and that was just out right thuggery in my opinion.

Johnny Valentine vs The Sheik
Johnny Valentine controlled this match from the opening bell not letting the Sheik get any offence and after 3 ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER’s it was over.

Segment: In Ring announcement
The CWA theme "Eye Of The Tiger" by Survivor plays and a man wearing a black leather jacket that has CWA logo on the back, a CWA baseball cap, sunglasses, trimmed bear, black t-shirt with Crimson Dragon Productions logo on it and black jeans walks out of the back he salutes Donovan Black as he walks towards the ring. He goes around the ring and grabs the Mic from the ring announcer then enters the ring.

Man: HELLO TORONTO how is everyone doing tonight. I am the man who is bring this all to you my name is Brett Johnson some of you may know me by the nick name of Crimson Dragon.

Johnson smiles as the crowd cheers.

Johnson: I am here cause I have got some bad new, some good news and some great news. First the Bad News it was announced on night one that we would be starting are tv shows Maple Leaf Wrestling and All Star Wrestling next Saturday airing on TSN for the WWA and the Fight Network for the EWA well sadly that will not be happening.

Johnson: I hear you I don’t like that either but unfortunately TSN deiced they wanted out of the deal and have pulled the plug. However the good news is the Fight Network has stepped up and will air both shows on there network. Maple Leaf Wrestling will air on the Fight Network on the Eastern side of Canada at Noon on Saturdays and will repeat on the Western part of Canada on Sunday at noon. All Star Wrestling will air in Western Canada on Saturdays at 1pm and on Sunday at 1pm in the Eastern part of Canada. But those of you in Ontario and Manitoba will get both shows on Saturday as they will air back to back. And that will start on Saturday August 5th, Now for my great news as we wont be having any TV taping’s this month we are going to Host another big event this one will be aired on the Fight Network on Saturday the 29th of this month and it will be from the Keystone Centre, in Brandon, Manitoba and will be called TELEVISION CHAOS. It will be a 1 night tournament to Crown the CWA Television Champion who will have to then defend the Belt once in each territory every month not to mention any CWA Pay Previews.

With that Brett Johnson exits the ring and heads back up the ramp to the back.

World Tag Team Championship

Nick Bockwinkel & Killer Kowalski w/ Bobby Heenan vs The Road Warriors w/Paul Ellering
In an all out war that saw the action spill to the outside of the ring the team of Bockwinkel and Kowalski managed to pull off the victory tho Bockwinkel look hurt and had to be helped to the back he did take 4 DOOMSDAY DEVICES but stayed alive for his partner who in the last stages of the match had to basically wrestle both Hawk and Animal on his own but he pulled the victory off when he locked Animal in the CLAW HOLD
Winner: Nick Bockwinkel & Killer Kowalski w/ Bobby Heenan

Black: We have our first CWA World Tag team Champions and they are part of the Heenan Family congradulations to Nick Bockwinkel and Killer Kowalski that match was a war.

Buddy Rodgers vs The Sandman
Buddy Rodgers makes quick work of The Sandman not letting get any offences at all and quickly locks him in the FIGURE FOUR GRAPVINE for the win via submission.

Don Leo Jonathan vs Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré
Gorgeous George came to the ring with bandages on his face evedent from the fireball he took in the first nights match against the Sheik and it showed that he was hurt as Jonathan controlled the match and finished him off quick with his finisher the MORMON SWING

King Kong Bundy w/Bobby Heenan vs Johnny Valentine
This was a battle and Johnny Valentine came prepared as he took it to Bundy right from the opening bell. Bundy fought back even hitting Valentine with the AVALANCHE but Valentine kicked out and somehow fought back to put Bundy down with a series of ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS to pick up the win. To add insult Valentine made the ref count to 5.
