It looks like in NJPW Strong, Lance Archer (Lance Hoyt in the game) and Alex Zayne have formed a new tag team called Monster Sauce.
Although I currently have Lance Hoyt paired up with MJF in my Ring of Vegas (ROV) fed where they are about to challenge the Young Bucks for the ROV Tag Team Championship, I might have to team Hoyt and Zayne up at some point.

I would love to see Monster Sauce pop up on Impact for a few matches. Hopefully it happens as it seems Impact and NJPW Strong are working together.

I've seen the team listed as Murder Sauce. Did they change it to Monster Sauce, or do they use both names.

I've seen the team listed as Murder Sauce. Did they change it to Monster Sauce, or do they use both names. Good question. I have also seen them listed as Murder Sauce and as Murder Sauce Monsters. But I double checked and I did see them listed yesterday on Facebook as Monster Sauce and I also just saw that Lance Archer on Twitter is calling himself and Alex Zayne Monster Sauce too. It appears to me that Monster Sauce is the current name of the tag team.

I didn't know if Lance & Alex couldn't make up their minds, or if NJPW promoters kept changing their minds.

My guess is they changed it to Monster for better merchandising opportunities. It reminds me when the James Gang were in TNA and they did their run as VKM. The original idea for the name, and I think what they used in Japan, was Voodoo Kill Murder. They had to change it to Voodoo Kill Mafia for TNA. It seems that the word murder might be a bit too much for censors and some people.

They came up with the name during the time Vince was bringing DX back and the boys were partly mad they were not part of it as they thought how can you have DX with out NAO. But also, it was about trying to get publicity for TNA. So the initials were for him but they said it was for their name to avoid any attempt at a cease and desist.

Laughs...if I weren't calling them the Outlaws, I'd probably call them James Gang, but I definitely remember Voodoo Kin Mafia.
Monster Sauce is fun. Going to try them at some point.
