If AEW does indeed start doing monthly PPVs (although they basically are anyway with Forbidden Door 2, ROH's Death Before Dishonor next weekend, and then All in and All Out on back to back weekends all from June to September this Summer,) I hope it is indeed part of a streaming deal and not at $50/each. Possible Major Change Coming to the AEW ScheduleAs noted before, AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery are deep into contract extension talks, which could bring significant changes and more money to AEW.
In an update, Fightful Select reports that one major proposal, from WBD to AEW, related to the extension is the subject of pay-per-view events. A WBD source noted that there was talk of the “very likely possibility” of AEW significantly expanding their pay-per-view schedule.
It was noted that AEW may go to one pay-per-view a month, which is something that WBD has wanted.
It wasn’t clear if these extra events would be standalone or if they would be included in a Max (HBO Max) streaming deal. As noted, there has been some speculation on AEW All In possibly airing on Max instead of standard pay-per-view.
AEW previously expanded their special event schedule, adding Forbidden Door last year, and AEW All In this year. However, there have been no additional broadcast plans revealed as of yet. It was noted that nothing in the new deal has been finalized, at least as far as what sources have revealed, and this could change, but the expanded schedule is being discussed.wrestlingheadlines.com/possible-major-change-coming-to-the-aew-schedule/
