This is the draft of the IPW II set handbook. I'll polish it up a little more over the next few days, and then hand it off to the FG production crew to make it pretty. There will be one surprise in the book that I won't list here! Enjoy, and thanks again for your patience!
TS Aggressor
The Godfather of Impact Pro Wrestling has arrived! After training in a wrestling school run by the star of amateur and pro wrestling, Brad Rheinghans, Aggressor began a career in 1997 that has spanned three decades. Aggressor battled midwest independent stars like Mr. Destiny and Brent Filmore, in promotions like Harley Race’s World League Wrestling, Steel Domain Wrestling, and Northern Premier Wrestling before joining Midwest Championship Wrestling (MWCW) in 2001. (MWCW became Impact Pro Wrestling, or IPW, in May 2002!) Aggressor was the initial MWCW Heavyweight Champion, winning a tournament on May 5, 2001.
Aggressor formed the faction known as “The Inhumane Society” with Mr. Destiny and Johnny Fitness, which terrorized IPW rings. At one point, Aggressor & Destiny held the tag team titles while Fitness was the IPW Heavyweight Champion. Fitness was later kicked out of the group, which led to a violent feud between Aggressor & Destiny and Fitness.
While a legend inside the ring, Aggressor’s greatest contribution to the sport may be the dozens of wrestlers he has trained. He’s had a hand in training every star on the IPW roster, past and present, with the exception of Mr. Destiny and Brent Filmore, who he broke into the business with. Aggressor teamed with AJ Smooth to swap the tag team titles with Justin Decent & UGLY. His final IPW Heavyweight Championship run came in 2012, when he defeated Nicky Free to win the title in a Lumberjack Match at the Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame show. Some of his final matches have been in six man tag team matches, teaming with James Jeffries and wrestling legends such as Bob Orton, Jr, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
FINISHER: ROLL OF THE GYPHE - Aggressor uses the spinning neckbreaker, with the opponent in a reverse DDT position, to take care of his opponent.
Mr. Destiny
The powerhouse known as Mr. Destiny trained with TS Aggressor at a wrestling school in Minnesota in the mid-1990s. After competing in Minnesota independent promotions like Steel Domain Wrestling, Destiny went south to WLW and competed against main top stars of the future and past. His battles against TS Aggressor moved north to MWCW (later IPW) in 2002, where they exchanged the heavyweight championship.
Destiny and Aggressor had developed mutual respect for each other, so they put aside their differences and formed the Inhumane Society with Johnny Fitness. They dominated IPW in a fashion no one had seen to that point, and arguably since. The on again/off again relationship between Destiny and Aggressor would fracture and repair itself, with Destiny sending Aggressor packing from IPW with “Loser Leaves Town” matches on two occasions.
As Destiny wound down his career, he migrated south to Texas, where he wrestled in different indy promotions. He held the WOW Heavyweight Championship, and teamed with Chaz Taylor to hold the NWA Texas Tag Team Championship for nearly nine months. Since he retirement, Destiny has been known to show up backstage at IPW shows, and even made an in-ring appearance on the IPW 21st anniversary show!
FINISHER: SAMOAN DROP and FLATLINER - Destiny uses a pair of punishing finishers on his foe to get the victory!
Brent Filmore
Filmore, or “Beautiful Brent” as he likes to be called, started his career wrestling in Harley Race’s World League Wrestling. He started a rivalry there with TS Aggressor and Mr. Destiny, which spilled over into Impact Pro Wrestling. Fillmore won the IPW Heavyweight Championship from Aggressor before dropping it back to him months later.
After a retirement from ring action, Fillmore came back to the sport with a unique perspective. He claimed to be an activist for women’s rights, and thus, wanted to compete for the IPW Women’s Championship! He challenged IPW Women’s Champion Brooke Valentine to a non-title match, which he won through nefarious means. The enraged Valentine challenged him to an unsanctioned match, where she retained the title, but was attacked by Ms. Frankie Jay afterwards. This led to a triple threat steel cage title match where Jay captured the title! Satisfied with the havoc he had caused, Fillmore moved back to the men’s division, where he competed until an injury put him on the shelf. Filmore changed his attitude while he was healing, and has since become one of the top officials in Impact Pro Wrestling!
FINISHER: FILIBUSTER - Fillmore’s finisher is a powerful neckbreaker.
Johnny Fitness
The athletic and charismatic Johnny Fitness burst onto the scene of Impact Pro Wrestling in 2002. He immediately made his mark as part of the Inhumane Society with TS Aggressor and Mr. Destiny. After being turned on by his partners, Fitness began to hear the cheers of the fans, and set out on a career which always saw him as a top contender for, if not holder of, the IPW Heavyweight Championship. Fitness lost a “Loser Leaves Town” stipulation to Mr. Destiny, but the mysterious masked “Mr. F” entered IPW to exact revenge for his “friend”, Johnny Fitness.
Fitness also served as a mentor and “brother” to Matty Star. Star began his career as “Matty Fitness”, teaming with Johnny Fitness for approximately a year, before the two had a falling out that turned into a wild feud! The former “brothers” exchanged the IPW Heavyweight Championship before “Matty Fitness” became the Matty Star we all know and don’t love.
Fitness later challenged AJ Smooth for the title, teamed with Kiandra in mixed tag team matches, and was unsuccessful in trying to win the IPW Extreme title from a young upstart known as James Jeffries! After his retirement, Fitness came back to defeat his former partner Matty Star and Sparrow, known as the Legend Killers, in his adopted hometown of Algona, IA.

Nicky Free
The multiple time IPW Heavyweight Champion had a long and successful career in the promotion. His early matches included title challenges against AJ Smooth, which saw the wily Smooth keep the belt. Free dabbled in tag team wrestling during this time, teaming up with UGLY. Soon after defeating wrestling star Austin Aries at the 2010 Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame show, he captured the IPW Heavyweight Championship and started nearly five years of title domination. During this time he defended the belt against IPW’s top contenders like Smooth, Matty Star, James Jeffries, UGLY and Justin Decent. When he dropped the title for brief periods, like he did in 2012 to TS Aggressor, he refocused his intense training regimen and regained the title. While Heavyweight Champion, he also captured the IPW Tag Team Championship with Sparrow, defeating the makeshift team of UGLY and The Big Picture (substituting for an injured Decent!)
In 2016, Free began to wind down his active career. He “passed the torch” to James Jeffries, when Jeffries successfully defended the IPW title against him. Free also competed for Minnesota’s Prime Time Wrestling, as well as other midwest promotions, during his career.
FINISHER: FREEFALL - Free’s finisher, FREEFALL, is his version of a uranage.
Briar and Sage Hale
Sage Hale made her debut in Impact Pro Wrestilng a few months before her sister, attacking Ms. Frankie Jay following Jay’s IPW Women’s Championship match. During the course of their battles, her twin sister Briar tried to switch into a match to win the title from Jay. These shenanigans lead to the IPW Women’s Championship being held up, and the enraged twins took their frustrations out by beating up (and bloodying!) IPW ring announcer, Chad Olson.
Sage’s anger over the held up title lead to her violently attacking Ms. Frankie Jay, which saw Briar come to Jay’s rescue! An intense sibling rivalry was ignited in the rings of IPW! Both Hale sisters would often compete against Jay over the Women’s Championship in triple threat matches, which saw Sage come out with the championship and begin a long title reign. During this time, the Hale twins fought in a series of singles matches, with the title changing hands back and forth many times. In their one on one battles, IPW fans tend to cheer Briar and boo Sage, in part because of Sage’s ferocity in the ring!
The Hales have also journeyed to many other promotions around the midwest, winning singles championships and competing in tag team matches. They have even been featured on a national promotion’s online broadcast in a tag team battle. Sage and Briar wrestle a hard hitting athletic style, so they often get a mixed reaction from the crowd. The future looks bright for the pride of Hale’s Corner, WI!
FINISHER AND OTHER MOVES: FULL NELSON FLATLINER - Sage Hale’s finisher sees her put the opponent in a full nelson, before lifting in the air and throwing her to the mat in a powerful face slam! CODE RED - Briar Hale uses this sunset flip power bomb to go for the pinfall!
NOTE #1: Sage and Brian Hale have double team moves on their cards. If they are in singles matches, please use the substitute moves on their cards.
NOTE #2: Because they are identical twins, Sage and Briar try to switch during the middle of a match, taking advantage of a confused referee! Follow the instructions on their card to see if they’re successful.
Kiandra
Kiandra is the original diva of Impact Pro Wrestling, being the first female graduate from the Vault. Due to a lack of female wrestlers, she often formed a team with Sparrow and accompanied him to ringside. Later, IPW brought in other female competitors like Angelus Layne to compete against Kiandra. This feud spilled over into other promotions across the midwest.
When Ms. Frankie Jay entered IPW, Kiandra found her perfect foil! The two battled for years for the unofficial title of “First Lady of IPW” before IPW sanctioned a Women’s Championship. Both competitors heard the cheers and jeers of the fans, depending on the circumstances. Singles matches, mixed tag team matches, and brutal special matches like a cage match and a pair of tables matches, were all part of their rivalry.
Kiandra soon left IPW after Ms. Frankie Jay won the inaugural tournament to become Women’s Champion. She made her mark on the legacy of IPW, and has been known to return to action from time to time.
FINISHER AND OTHER MOVES: CHICK KICK - Kiandra uses a standing karate kick to the side of the head to try to KO her opponent! Her Dive Death Drop is a kick to the stomach followed by a quick DDT.
Bryce Jordyn
Bryce Jordyn began his career in 2018, after being trained in the IPW Vault by James Jeffries and UGLY. He teamed up with his Jeffries in some of his early matches. His excellent won/loss record led to him winning the IPW Vault title. After a series of successful title defenses against many of IPW’s best, he embarked on a title challenge against the Big Picture, who held the IPW Heavyweight Championship. The title feud was the main event at successive Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame shows in 2019 and 2021, which culminated in Jordyn winning the title.
Fans were shocked when the popular “Golden Boy” immediately turned against his longtime friend Jeffries, and dubbed himself “The Golden God”. Jeffries overcame his disappointment to defeat Jordyn for the Heavyweight Championship. Jordyn has maintained his tight grip on the IPW Vault Championship, and chances are he’ll regain the IPW Heavyweight Championship in the future!
FINISHER AND OTHER MOVES: DESTINO - Jordyn has mastered the DESTINO, a somersault reverse DDT. He also uses a version of the Pedigree he calls the Golden Shovel. The Golden Combination sees Jordyn hit a forearm smash to the cornered opponent. He then runs to the opposite corner, stands on the middle turnbuckle, salutes the crowd with a raised pinky, and blasts the opponent with a running clothesline or spear!
