LOW Card #1- Year 1 - Baltimore, MD
-First Round- LOW World Heavyweight Title Tournament-
1) "Nature Boy" Ric Flair defeated "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers with the Figure-Four Leglock DUD
In the battle of the Nature Boys, Flair dominated the contest. He worked the left leg of Rogers and forced him to concede with his finisher. Interesting to note that Bobby Heenan was at ringside and left as Flair's hand was raised.
-First Round - LOW World Heavyweight Title Tournament-
2) "Rowdy" Roddy Piper beat "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase with the Sleeper ****
A fantastic back and forth matchup that saw referee Joey Marella hit a slow count after DiBiase clocked the Hot Rod with a foreign object. The money man then went to the top rope and missed a flying elbow which allowed Piper to rally and lock him his hold for the victory.
-First Round -LOW World Tag Team Title Tournament-
3) Tully Blanchard & Arn Anderson (w/Bobby Heenan) beat The Rock N' Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) with a Spike Piledriver when Arn pinned Morton. **
Heenan's team were able to isolate Morton and used several double team moves to gain advantage. Gibson made the save after a DDT by Anderson and all four men brawled in the ring. As referee James Beard restored order, the heels grabbed Morton and dropped him on his head to gain the three count.
Lance Russell interviewed Bobby Heenan backstage - Russell asked why he was out during the first matchup between Flair and Rogers. Heenan said that he's always scouting for new additions to his Family. His Brain Busters are going to become the new Tag Team champions and whomever he decides to back in the future with have championship gold in their future.
4) -First Round -LOW World Tag Team Title Tournament-
Bob Backlund defeated The Iron Sheik with a Rolling Backbridge DUD
The Sheik ran at his opponent before the bell even rang but the agile Backlund sidestepped him and ran him into the ropes in a pinning combination with his Rolling Backbridge cradle.
-First Round -LOW World Tag Team Title Tournament-
The British Bulldogs (Dynamite Kid & Davey Boy Smith) beat The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Dennis Condrey) (w/Jim Cornette) with the Tower of London when Dynamite pinned Condrey. ****
Fast paced action with several near falls from both teams. The finish saw Smith hit a Running Powerslam on Condrey and Jim Cornette jump on the apron. Dynamite quickly dispatched the whiny manager with a Head Butt and took out Eaton on the ring apron. A quick tag and Smith tossed his partner on to a prone Loverboy for the three count.

Lou Thesz defeated "Macho Man" Randy Savage with a Greco-Roman Backdrop **
Thesz showed his superior skill and used Savage's aggressiveness against him and secured a spot in the semi-finals.
