#21 Washington State 38, #14 Oregon State 35.
my undergradiate school WSU improves to 4-0 and now has beaten a ranked team for the second time this season as earlier this month they also defeated Wisconsin who was ranked #19 at the time they lost to WSU. Not bad a for a school that none of the Power 5 conferences want.
Although I obviously did not want Oregon State to win today, I hope OSU wins the remainder of their games this season.

Congratulations Zeke. Enjoy the victory. That will probably move the Cougars up somewhere between #12-16 in tomorrow's AP Poll. Based on that final score it sounds like it would have been a fun game to watch.

I agree, but why would a team who is going to be ranked as high as possibly #12-16 (I am not sure they rise that high in the next rankings) not be wanted by a Power 5 conference? I think it is more about concern for their media market (Eastern Washington and they cannot change their geographic situation) and not so much a concern about their ability to compete as they could clearly hold their own in another power conference.

I don't follow Pac-12 and not even a lot of college football over last few years but it might be about their body of work as well. They are good this year but, and I might be mistaken, I don't recall hearing their name a lot over last few years like Oregon or even Stafford a bit further back. Along with their market it might be about how much money they generate over all via boosters, merchandising and the like. Still it's a bit surprising none of the other four conferences invited them. However they and Oregon State can have the last laugh if they rebuild the Pac-12. If not I could see them joining my Big Ten down the road. They may not have got the invite this year due to so many other teams joining recently.

He is one of the College Football Hall of Famers who played at Washington State.

I am a Michigan fan but if other conferences were trying to sign just the basketball program, Michigan would not be one of the top grabs. They have had some good up years but a lot of meh years that would not make them an exciting signing. Washington State, IMO, has been overshadowed by UCLA, USC and even Oregon over the years. Maybe a new Pac-12 will give them and Oregon State a chance to be in the spotlight more.

Tonight I am at the Suncoast casino to place my bets for Sunday’s NFL games., I normally do this on Saturday but tomorrow I am going to Bakersfield with 3 friends to attend NXT’s No Mercy.
I have to kill over an hour until the movie Dumb Money starts so for fun I put $10 on Oregon State whose game against Utah is about to start. I got 2 drink tickets with my bet so even if I lose I will basically at least break even until my movie starts. Go Oregon State!

Oregon State upset #10 Utah tonight and, as I posted here earlier tonight right before kickoff, I had a small amount of money on Oregon State which I collected right after the movie Dumb Money (it was good!) I went to ended as the sportsbook is right next to the movie theater at the Suncoast.
I did not make much but I did basically get most of my movie ticket essentially refunded so I guess tonight smart money paid for Dumb Money.
glad to see Oregon State upset an undefeated top 10 team!
