We thought this debate was no longer necessary but out of cryogenics comes the man himself to start it up again.
For years I pronounced CRACK-IN, just like in CLASH OF THE TITANS. "Release the KRAKAN!"
Then came Galaticon III (1992), Tom scolded all of us after hearing all the different pronunciations - saying "It's KROCKIN, like ROCKIN with a K!"
That's what I've called him ever since, I mean if that's what the creator says it is then that's the way it is.
What say all of you??

I used to say KROCK IN, but now say CRACK IN.

It has always been and will always be Invincible "CRAY - Ken" in my little part of the Galaxy (It's my Fed, fellow Promoters, Darn it!) I do believe the actual pronunciation is "K - ROCKIN", but I know that I have used "CRACK - IN", "KRA - Can", and along with "CRAY - Ken" when in the company of other Promoters earning sideways glances and shakes of the head! ---- If it ever showed up on the SAT or ACT as a question to choose the correct "phonetic spelling", it would be a very highly missed question! Thank goodness that phonetic spelling is not on the SAT nor ACT!!!) ----- I mean come on, say it in your announcer's voice "In this corner, hailing from CTA-102, Invicccccibullllll CRAY Ken!!!!!!". That how we would all say it!!!  |
