So I picked up the 2125 Starter Set and I am having a blast so far. Currently in my third week of programming so obviously I have a long way to go still. However, I am curious as to when I should buy 2126 content. Since I am kind of going off the foundation presented in the book provided but, booking events how I see fit, does 2126 have a specific way it starts? Like what if how my first year ends contradicts how that year is supposed to start?

When you feel you've explored 2125 enough, purchase 2126. Some people run a handful of cards, others run hundreds.

I run weekly TV and quarterly PPVs. When I hit September of a year I read the book for the next year and start slowly angling my booking in preparation for the changeover.

Like what if how my first year ends contradicts how that year is supposed to start? That's the great thing about this game. There isn't any "one" correct way to play it. If your first year somehow contradicts how the "official" year is supposed to start just work around it. If a wrestler retires but you don't want them to, then don't. It's completely up to you. You don't have to be 100 percent official. Consider it like a D&D home brew campaign. Take what you like and don't use the rest, or even better change what you don't like to fit into your current storylines. It's all up to you.

Thank you all for the responses it makes the direction of where I can go endless! Also what size sleeves do I need for the cards? I bought some 4X6 and they are slightly too small.

If you try and stick with cannon and your year is ending and the new set is different than it just like playing back in the days as the old sets came out. I am sure many a player went in one direction only to get the new set when it was first released and found out Tom went in a different direction. It is one reason I have gone off canon for a long time. It is like two universes I can enjoy. The one Tom, and others, have created in the official canon and the one my crazy mind spits out. I take what is given, use what I like and put my own twist on things I may not like as much. I also have been able to expand my universe by using old or new cards of the same character as a different character all together.
