Recently I was doing some research on Google Maps for routes and it seemed to offer ones that hit toll roads without a way to avoid them. I figured it was best route but decided to test it. I did a route between two places that one could get to on a non toll road with the same road the whole way and the option it gave took you out of the way to get on a toll road that lead back to the same road. Looking at it, it might save a couple minutes but not so much as to make it worth paying a toll. Especially down here in FL where a lot of them have gone away from pay booths meaning you need a Sun Pass thing to pay the toll. To me that is a bit too "tracky" for me. Bad enough cameras could capture my driving and they could know where I went, not that they would want to but still, but this helps them even more. Anyways, if you use the app to plan trips the putting you on toll roads where you have to pay instead of routes where you do not have to pay is something to watch out for.
