Marcus Bagwell chose The Patriot as his new partner. Mikey Whipwreck def. Pitbull #1 with a whipper-snapper Doug Gilbert def. Brian Christopher by countout Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson def. Shane Douglas & Mr. Hughes when Gibson broke up a pin, hit Douglas with an elbow, and rolled Morton on top for the pin 2 Cold Scorpio def. The Sandman by disqualification Jacques Rougeau & Pierre-Carol Ouellet def. The Patriot & Marcus Bagwell (c) when Ouellet interfered, dropped an elbow on Bagwell, and placed Rougeau on top for the pin. With the completion of the June 1994 card, I have hit the one-year mark of this project. I've rolled 12 full cards in each of the four decades of my fed. To mark the occasion, I ran a Tournament of Champions, featuring the heavyweight and tag team champs from each of the decades. Here are the results: Roy Heffernan & Al Costello (w/ Wild Red Berry) def. Handsome Jimmy Valiant & Luscious Johnny Valiant (w/ Captain Lou Albano) when Costello pinned Johnny with an Australian backdrop. Hawk & Animal (w/ Precious Paul Ellering) def. Jacquesr Rougeau & Pierre-Carl Ouellet when Hawk pinned Ouellet after a Doomsday Device. Jack Brisco def. The Destroyer with a figure-four leglock after Brisco had staved off five pin attempts. Big Van Vader def. Bob Backlund by disqualification Al Costello & Roy Heffernan (w/ Wild Red Berry) def. Hawk & Animal (w/ Precious Paul Ellering) when Costello pinned Animal after a Boomerang. Jack Brisco def. Big Van Vader with a rolling reverse cradle after dominating the action, despite being depleted from his earlier match.
